La Bonne Vie is an elegant replica Queenslander situated on a private 10 acres of bush property, located at the base of Mount Castle in the Scenic Rim.
The house is fully self contained with quality furnishings and is delightful for 2 people, 2 couples or a large family, sleeping up to 6 people.It has ducted, climate-control air conditioning for year-round comfort,
The two main bedrooms are situated at the opposite ends of the house, both with their own ensuite. The children's bedroom contains a double bunk, and it too has its own bathroom/ toilet.
Enjoy the views, take a walk, bird watch, or just watch the kids play. Your stay can be as energetic or as relaxed as you like.
Sit around the fire-pit and roast yourself some marshmallows over a roaring bonfire in the evenings, or simply enjoy watching the Australian wildlife come and drink at the dam as the sun sets.
Take a short 15 minute drive to beautiful Lake Moogerah for boating, fishing, sailing, skiing or a picnic on the grassy banks. Nearby Aratula (10 minutes) is alive on the weekends, with a coffee shop, country bakery, restaurant, antiques, fresh produce, gift ware and souvenirs available. Slightly further on are Kalbar, Boonah or Mount Alford with a variety of country pubs, coffee shops, restaurants and local galleries.
Visit the Kooroomba Lavender Farm and Winery, Barton Rose Farm or, if bush walking is your passion, explore the paths of the Scenic Rim - the Main Range National Park, Mount French National Park, Mt Grenville National Park and Moogerah National Park
Half an hour to Ivory Rock Conference centre ( venue for Prem Rawat's peace event) and Willowbank raceway ( venue for 2017 CMC festival ) on main roads .

Summary: Large house with nice views. Nights are incredibly quiet and wonderful star-gazing when the skies are clear. As mentioned in other reviews, only one bathroom has a shower and this would be unfortunate if there were more than one couple staying. The kitchen is well stocked with pots/pans etc albeit well used. We enjoyed our visit and appreciated the quick response from the host when we required some assistance with a water problem. One suggestion would be to have hand towels provided in the bathrooms.

Summary: We stayed at La Bonne Vie for our daughter’s wedding. From the moment we drove into the driveway we felt like our weekend was going to be delightful. The house has expansive views over the neighbouring mountains and is very quiet and picturesque. The house itself is beautiful with everything you can think of for entertaining etc at your fingertips. The hosts were very prompt to answer all our queries. This is a very generous stay to say the least.

Summary: We loved our week at La Bonne Vie. What a view! The house was perfect for us and felt very comfortable and spacious. We had fun at local places like the Gorge swimming hole and Lake Moogerah. The wildlife was so lovely, with plenty of pretty-faced wallabies, a cute green tree frog that visited the front verandah each night and we even saw a koala and turtles at Lake Moogerah. Overall a relaxing country getaway. Only one weird thing, which obviously can’t be helped but the cicadas in the tree outside are LOUD! It was okay though because it was hot, so we had the air conditioning on and doors closed, which softened the sound a bit. It’s probably just a summer occurrence but if anyone in your group has hearing aids they might struggle a bit. My only wish list item would be wifi because the phone reception is patchy.

Summary: Excellent house in perfect spot with beautiful view. Everything supplied. we had a lovely weekend. The only one fault we didn't like were the cow pats throughout the lawn area. Just had to be careful where we walked.
