Positive: This was an amazing place to stay. It was just a 20 minute walk across the bridge to the train station. The apartment was located out of the city center in a quiet residential building with a fantastic terrace and amazing views. There was a big grocery store about 15 minute walk and getting to the traghetto to explore the lake towns was very easy. This is a perfect spot to explore the lake area, Milan, and pass some time in and around Lecco. The evenings were cool enough to open the big windows and enjoy the breeze. The lift was nice. The building had a lock on the main door as well as the apartment. It was very safe and secure. Gigi was a wonderful host. He offered to pick us up and drop us off at the Bergamo airport for a very reasonable price. He was kind and gracious and made sure we had everything we needed for an amazing stay. I would certainly return and stay a few days longer. Four nights were not enough!

Negative: The only thing I can think of is having a light in the hallway. It was pretty dark in the hallway at night when returning from a long day out. We used our phone lights and all was good.

Positive: The stay was great, very nice view over the whole city right from the other side of the river. Crossing one of the bridges to reach the inner city is a matter of minutes by feet. The host is super nice, even though we had to use a translator to communicate. You should be aware that this is an apartment with resident neighbours, so be prepared to say "good morning" in italian :-) , It was very relaxing to also have the phone number of the host, just in case anything happened or I would have needed help with something. Don't forget to ask how to switch on the Boiler and probably how the flushing vent works, if you haven't seen that before.

Negative: The parking situation is a bit crowded, but if you find a blue spot, a day of parking is just 10€. There has sometimes been a faint smell outside which I couldn't locate. Not strong, but slightly noticeable (it was not the apartment).

Summary: Great stay, great view, nice people. Apartment has a lot of 80s charme, which I like.

Positive: Great location with nice view to mountains and lake. Last floor, elevator. Confortable bed, big and complete kitchen. Good insulation from the street. 15-18 min walk to the main train station and down town. Do not like walk, there are public transport in few minuts away. A nice cafe El Fresco just a few steps from the apartment with a good selection and a view of the river and bridges.

Negative: There are not enough sockets for European plugs. For some reason the old sockets didn't suit us.
