Landmark Lodge is a one-of-a-kind home on Lake Blackshear offered for rent year round. This home is the most recognizable house on the lake as it actually sits out over the water at the widest section of Lake Blackshear. Landmark Lodge has Wi/Fi and has the best views of any house on the lake. Enjoy spectacular 180 degree views of the lake and beautiful sunsets from the large decks and balconies or from the comfort of the spacious main living area. The decks and balconies are great for entertaining. Boating, skiing, fishing and swimming are great in this area because there are no cypress trees or stumps on this side of the lake or anywhere near the home. (Please note that due to continued abuse, boat and jet ski lifts are not available for use.)
Landmark Lodge has three master suites. The first master suite has a private balcony overlooking the lake and a large jetted bathtub. (There is not a shower in this bathroom.) Another suite enjoys tremendous views of the lake through large floor to ceiling windows. The main living area features three couches and a large flat screen TV. An additional sunken living area makes a great playroom for the kids. Two dining tables and a bar provide plenty of seating for meals. The kids will enjoy their very own bunk room with 3 twin beds. Everyone will enjoy the huge swimming platform.
Landmark Lodge is just down from Georgia Veterans State Park. Go by car or boat to enjoy all that the Park has to offer. You can even ride the SAM Shortline Railway to Plains, GA, home of former President Jimmy Carter. Georgia Veterans State Park also offers a beautiful 18 hole golf course, boat rentals, sunset cruises and two restaurants.

Summary: This was the best place! It was so nice! We had everything we needed! It was right on the water, boat ramp a minute up the road, deer walking along the side of the roads, and peace and quiet! We had a blast! We will definitely make this our yearly get away place!

Summary: The house is beautiful but they got a lot of up keep they need to do is put in new couches in the living room new pillows on the bed because they were flat and good bed linens and towels. The towels was old a they need to upgrade the towels and they need new pots and pans we have to go and buy pots and pans so we can cook and high-rise toilet they need high-rise toilet

Summary: The house has an excellent layout. We had nine people stay here (5 kids and 4 adults) with still plenty of room to spare. The decor and kitchen are a bit dated but isn't a problem if you're outside enjoying the lake. We caught one 4 lb blue cat off the dock but didn't have much luck with fishing this go round. Beds we're comfortable. Our kids loved the side room with the three twin beds and being able to jump off the dock and swim. House is very close to the marina, Buoy's, the blue hole, and the sandbar. We will definitely be going here again.

Summary: This property is old and dated, but that wasn't what bothered us. What bothered us is that it didn't have basics for a rental property. For example, there was only a tiny coffee pot for a house that sleeps 7, there were no extra paper towels or toilet paper, there were no cleaning products, the towels were ragged and the kitchen had only one usable outlet. The location was good for us. We were going to wedding celebrations at some nearby houses, but it is pretty far from town so getting the basics that weren't provided is not an easy jaunt.
