Welcome to "Thee Hidden Pearl" at Barren River Lake, Kentucky. It has a very private 400 sq. ft. suite, with fantastic view overlooking the lake. Located merely six miles from Beaver Creek boat ramp with campground, dock, and Beach area; as well as being convenient to Barren River State Park, and gas stations. Be sure to bring your camera along for watching the bald eagles fly around the lake..
This lake is managed by the Army Corp. of Engineers. The water level is regulated to be at summer levels from May through the middle of October.
From the middle of October until the first part of May, the lake is at its winter level and most private docks on the lake are unusable. During this time, the lake cannot be seen from this property.
The lakebed is still a fun place to walk and there is a small creek that flows year round. During the summer, the lake level stays fairly constant unless there are heavy rains or extreme drought. Because of this, we cannot guarantee what the water level will be. Please ask questions if you have any.
Imagine drinking your morning coffee on the front porch overlooking the lake on the country ridge, just before heading off for a morning hike or a quick 18 holes at the State Park.

Regardless of how you spend your time during your stay, this vacation rental will keep you coming back again and again!
Suite features 1 bedroom with Queen bed, large sitting room with sectional sofa and recliner. Bath with Jacuzzi and separate shower. Small kitchenette with microwave, small refrigerator and Keurig coffee pot. Large private deck with grill. Large flat screen TV,. Direct-TV, and a DVD library.
There is minimum two night stay. If you book seven nights, you will get the seventh night free. Minimum rental age of 25. No Pets; No Smoking; No Illegal Substances Allowed. Check in is at 2:00 pm and Check out is at 11:00 noon.
We will have 2, 10 ft. Kayaks to use during your stay with life jackets
Close to hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, wild-life viewing, swimming, water-skiing, knee-boarding, wake-boarding, jet-skiing, tubing, and boating.
In addition, the Suite is merely 30 minutes from Bowling Green, Kentucky home of the National Corvette Museum and Plant. We are less than 30min. from Kentucky Down Under and Mammoth Cave National Park, which offers horseback riding, cave tours, and various other sightseeing activities. We are happy to provide directions to any of these activities.

Summary: The place was very beautiful and inviting despite there had been a bad storm the week before and fallen trees were blocking the view of the lake. The dock to the lake was covered by water and you couldn't use it to fish from but all in all my husband and I enjoyed being there. Mrs. Jan was a real sweet lady and invited us to come back when the water was down and we could fish.

Summary: Jan, the property owner, met us. She is and was the perfect hostess. The surrounding property, the lake, and the beautiful attention to detail in landscaping showed the affection owners placed on their land and the environment for years. The lake was mesmerizing. We enjoyed watching the cranes fly in. The interior was immaculate and beautifully decorated. It is a special place for a relaxing, peaceful getaway.

Summary: The land was beautiful, the house was very cozy and the owner made you fill like family you'll never meet anyone like sweet Jan. I'll definitely never forget her hospitality! Summary: I could write a book over why everyone should stay at this beautiful lake house! The private location of the house, perfect flat lake front with dock, and all the amenities you could ask for to go with the perfect lake stay. The host, Jan, is absolutely a sweetie! The best host I’ve ever met and I want to go back just to visit Jan! But you can kayak, paddle boat, fish or fix a s’mores on the fire pit with the s’mores kit provided by Jan. Beautiful, peaceful and perfect! We will be back, and with the whole family next time!
