This is a well-maintained cottage and includes a full kitchen, three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and screened porch, a large deck, a large outdoor hot shower, and access to two
ka yacks. It can sleep up to 6 people and have use of a private shared beach with chairs and a raft, just a 100 feet away! We also provide all linens and towels.
Newfound Lake is one of the prettiest and cleanest lakes in New Hampshire. Our beach has a raft and is perfect for swimming. (The map makes it look like we are on Mayhew Island we are on the mainland across from it.)
Unfortunately, we do not have access to a boat mooring.

Summary: I don’t want to rave too much because I want the cottage to be available next summer! It was especially heavenly the first part of our week—for 5 days we had no neighbors and had the small private beach to ourselves. I can see that things can get very busy, and become a bit less relaxing when barking dogs and yelling kids show up!

Summary: We did not spend a lot of at the house, and most of our time on the lake! The house was good for what we needed it for, sleeping! There is no air conditioning, so plan accordingly! There are fans, but it was still hot. Not a lot of air movement. You also need to walk through one bathroom and a bedroom to get to the “master” bedroom

Summary: We enjoyed the property very much. The house was nice and very clean and cozy. We were not as close to the bike activities as we preferred but that was more an issue of timing as closer properties were not available and this was not the fault of the owner here. However that being said, it was a very nice experience. The only fly in the ointment was the access road to the property. For a motorcycle it was very difficult, even borderline impassable due to recent rain and rutting in the road. The owner was able to provide a solution by directing us to a cut through to another road, which was in better shape. There was no washer/dryer which caused some inconvenience but that fault lies with me for not checking prior to rental. Overall, this is a nice property and a nice neighborhood. However, I would caution if you are traveling for bike week and traveling on a bike, then you may wish to examine this property more closely. Otherwise it was a positive experience and the owner was very helpful.
