4 Bedroom House in West Wittering

Our Beach House is within a few minutes walk of the beautiful West Wittering Beach. More details on Design Vintage site. Located right in WW village centre - the pub, village shops & National Trust sand dunes are all very close by. Recently renovated throughout with interiors and furnishing by Design Vintage, the house has stunning period features and every modern convenience. The large secure garden has lawned areas, mature trees and a huge decked area perfect for entertaining with Pizza Oven! Treehouse, Trampoline & Rope Swings. 3 Double Bedrooms (1 is ground floor) & 1 large Triple kid's room with 1 single bed & 1 set full size Bunkbeds.
The house is immaculate throughout and we think you will love the space - perfect for family gatherings wanting a relaxing holiday right by the beach with plenty of outdoor space and lots to keep the children entertained. The 3 double bedrooms (1 is superking) are all a good size and 2 of them can easily take a cot if required. The 4th bedroom is a very large triple perfect for children and again lots of room for an additional cot. We have a lovely sunny playroom with lots of toys, games and art activities to keep little ones amused whilst you relax on the terrace! The lounge with log burner has sofas and comfy chairs for relaxing and we have an eat-in vaulted kitchen/dining room with a large dining table as well as a further breakfast table.
Out on the terrace is another large dining table, surf shack, bbq and built in woodfired pizza oven, as well as the outdoor (hot) shower. We have a further breakfast table under a pergola, perfect for the morning sun.
Newly built this year, there is an outdoor cabin with gorgeous lounging area complete with sofas under a bamboo covered pergola with lighting. The cabin has quickly become the 'sleepover den' and with built-in benches/beds it can accommodate two children wishing to have a glamping experience in the garden! It is fully insulated and double glazed, complete with power and disco lights! The pergola catches the evening sun and is the perfect spot for late drinks.
Within a short drive of Chichester City Centre and Goodwood Racecourse and Motor Circuit, this is the perfect base for groups attending the prestigious Goodwood Events Calendar. The house lends itself to one or two families with children as all the children can sleep in one big room leaving 3 doubles for the adults.
The large log burner will keep you cosy on cooler nights and we also provide bbq, garden toys, beach equipment & plenty of outdoor seating.
West Wittering is a beautiful village with village shops, restaurant, cafe and pub all within a minute's stroll of the house. The blue flag beach is a few minute's walk (0.4 miles) or cycle with the choice of the main beach and National Trust sand dunes or the quieter 'locals' beach even closer to the house. Both are sandy and shelve gently which makes them perfect for children. There is a beach trolley for loading up with all the beach gear (and tired little ones on the way home!).

Summary: We were 3 generations (6 adults and 4 children) staying at this stunning house for a week in August, where we had a wonderful time. The decor is clean, bright and very calming and there was loads of space for us all in the lounge and dining room. However the kitchen itself isn’t huge and we found that with 2 cooks in the kitchen, we tended to get in each other’s way. We also found there wasn’t enough cutlery and crockery for 10 and were glad we’d brought extra from home for an anniversary party. The bedrooms are all lovely and the children’s room is delightful. However not much storage for clothes and the only hanging space is in one room. In fact, we think the downstairs bed was a sofa bed in a music room as apparently it wasn’t too comfortable. It’s a fantastic house for little ones - ours (4,5 & 6) had endless fun in the playroom and treehouse and on the trampoline. The facilities outside are amazing - a huge decked area with different seating areas and a really hot outside shower. It was fun trying out the pizza oven too. It’s an easy 15 minute walk to the lovely sandy beach, though we paid (c£10) to park one car as our little ones only have little legs and all the beach clutter would be too much to carry. Excellent pub (The Witterings) in the village, but book as only a few tables. Also ate at the fabulous Crab & Lobster in Sidlesham (15 mins by car) which is highly recommended. Summary: A wonderful location (with excellent trolley to ferry little ones to the beach) and lots of lovely spaces both inside and outside to enjoy whatever the weather! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Summary: The house was able to absorb us all!! The craft room a particular favourite with my grandchildren! Though the trampoline, treehouse and disco room also provided hours of entertainment! Different seating areas around the garden were popular at different times of day as the sun moved, we moved too! 😊

Summary: Really cannot recommend this place highly enough - had it all. Comfort, stunning interior design, amazing outdoor space with different areas for different parts of the day. The pizza oven was fantastic! The location was perfect too - v close to the beautiful wittering beaches - the best beach trolley provided to make trips there so much easier ! Summary: We had a really lovely stay at Lisa's home. It was stylish and functional. Its location is wonderful for beach walks and exploring the greater area. My girls loved their room and the art room. They entertained themselves for hours in the backyard with all its swings, trampoline and tree house. We also had some really fun meals using the outdoor pizza oven. We would love to come back some day. Thank you!

Summary: Our two families had a fabulous week in this beautiful house. The children had everything to keep them amused - a playroom filled with things to do as well as the trampoline, swings and treehouse in the spacious garden. Every morning we loaded the lovely wooden trolley with beach equipment and strolled down to the sandy beach, returning later with the children riding on board. Lisa, the owner, was really helpful from the moment we booked, and the property itself is beautifully decorated and equipped with outdoor areas particularly well-designed for eating out and generally relaxing. Altogether a totally perfect place for a holiday.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the house for a while two weeks. Lazy days were spent at the beach or in the pub, or driving around pretty country lanes. Great for relaxing but some activities can be found in horse riding, surfing and sailing too. The house itself was so beautifully designed we sometimes preferred to stay at home than go out. Lisa was a fab host and incredibly responsive and helpful from the outset.

Summary: We stayed three nights at Hayes House and loved our stylish surroundings. The house has been renovated to a very high standard. Very close to the Stand beach and 200 yards to the Old House at Home pub. We made use of the pizza oven which the kids (and grown ups) loved. The house suited us perfectly with 6 adults and 4 children.
