Positive: Lovely joining room to our own for our 3 year old son. Comfy beds. Spacious rooms. Kitchen with lots of equipment for cooking. Friendly hosts but best of all a beautiful swimming pool surrounded by beautiful flowers.

Positive: This is a beautiful tranquil place. The gite is pretty and very comfortable. We loved how quiet it was. It is in a lovely setting with a courtyard with a pool shared only with the owners a very nice couple with a young daughter. The gite has its own area of the garden with table and chairs and a seating area with a view of the pool courtyard and a separate green area also with a table and chairs and with the river beside it. There is a barbecue for the use of those in the gite beside the table and chairs. We really enjoyed our stay here and will hopefully be able to return again. Just one thing to note the second bedroom is accessed through the first bedroom but also has its own door to the garden so those using it will either have to access the rest of the gite through the 1st bedroom or by going outside and to the main door which is easy enough. The village has a nice patisserie and shop/small supermarket. Also a butchers though it was closed for a holiday while we were there. The shop had some meats though. It also has a pharmacy and a pizzeria. There is a tennis court near the gite and is free to use and we played a number of games there. Its only a couple of minutes walk from the gite and there was no need to book just go and use if it was free and on all occasions we went there was no one using it. The gite itself has a box with tennis racquets and balls. Also it has a table tennis table bats and ball, a dart board and exercise machine in an area where bikes can be kept as well. Perfect for a family holiday. There is good cycling (reasonably flat) around the village and we did a lot of cycling in the mornings. Cognac is only a 10 minute drive away. We would highly recommend this gite for a holiday we had a wonderful relaxing time for the two weeks we were there.
