Positive: Le Moulin is a really great place to stay. It’s very authentic French with its lovely furnishings and a view of the Charente river from every single window. You can see why over the years it has attained such high ratings from past guests. We loved its charm and location a short stroll to the Super U excellent Restaurants and a Patisserie 2 mins away. Mariel is a great host with her adjacent private gardens being an oasis for wildlife and birds that wake you every morning.We we’re not worried about no English TV or the noise of the river.

Negative: I suppose you have to say that the fridge wasn’t working as well as it could and a couple of bulbs were blown but we mentioned it at the end of our stay. Really small points and in no way effected our stay for 15 days just chilling out.

Summary: Lovely well run Gite in a lovely location in the town of Mansle.

Positive: Brilliant location for our needs. Close to friends and local amenities. Clean, well run and perfectly French!

Negative: Nothing. One small recommendation would be to have some milk for our first morning as we arrived late tge night before to obtain provisions from the supermarket.

Summary: Amazing property. Beautiful setting. Wonderful host and perfect location for our trip to the region!
