Positive: Sparkling, shiney and elegant. The staff are very nice. Shout out to Richard who helped with our bags and ordering a taxi - really decent guy!! The rooms (suite) are huge and have two balconies overlooking the harbour/sea. A taxi to the centre of the north Island (St Paul's ruins) is only 30 Pataca or HK Dollar (3 GBP). You can get a free coach from the bus garage under The Sands Hotel (across the road 4 min walk away) to crazy town AKA Casino city in the south. Breakfast was superb - so much choice!!! The shop in the lobby sells beer (20 Pataca/HKD) - £2. snacks and all sorts and is open 7am til 3am!!! Everywhere accepts Pataca or HKD.

Positive: The hotel is a beautiful bulding and quite imponent in Macau. we were there for the last day of the casino in the hotel. The staff was very helpful.
Negative: Breakfast doesnt have many options(i.e for fruit only watermelon and melon) which in a place like Macao with so many fruit markets is not acceptable; no cheese selection, etc). The room was spacious and well decorated but the quality of towels, toilet paper is not a 5* hotel- as well as no tea/ coffee in room. Not great.

Positive: I like the quietness of the hotel. Staff are always so helpful. The Chinese restaurant serves tasty food. I love my room overlooking the sea. The spaciousness of the lobby and seats are so good and relaxing while waiting for friends or while waiting for taxi.
Summary: this hotel is worth coming back as it does not have fortune hunters hanging around.
