What a view! Nestled high on the ridge overlooking the bay and Lake Superior, this completely remodeled house has real hickory hardwood floors throughout. It has a new cabin feel, all shiplap & tongue and groove walls and ceiling. All new high-end, stainless-steel appliances (refrigerator, stove and washer/dryer), quartz counter tops, hammered cooper kitchen sink, and leather furniture, including a pull-out sofa (queen). We offer a selection of K cups for the Keurig or if you enjoy drip coffee we do have a regular coffee maker as well. There are three smart TVs, total with amazon/netflix available. One TV in the King bedroom, one in the main living room and one in the kids living area (that has the pull-out sofa). For as beautiful as this house is inside, the outdoor space is more amazing, new wrap around deck will be available Summer 2025. The kitchen, living room and queen bedroom has an amazing view of Lake Superior. Sit on the porch swing and sip coffee or wine all day looking at the beautiful blue hues of the water. Play corn-hole (game provided to use) in the side yard or bring your own outdoor games for the whole family. The heated garage has an additional refrigerator and outdoor grill all for guest use. Toward the back of the house enjoy fire in the firepit- we supply all the firewood you need. There are 3 heat sources for this house. One is 100% off-grid meaning it will work if the case of a power outage.
Main source of heat for house is forced air propane. There is a pellet stove both inside the house (optional for you to use) and in the garage as the main source of heat for the garage. We recommend you bring bags of pellets and if you need additional they can be available for $8/bag.

Summary: Beautiful property for our hikes around pictured rocks. Molly was so helpful and the property was perfect. Downtown grand Marais was very pretty with 2 great places to have a beverage and eat right on Lake Superior. Coukd not have asked for more. Definitely plan to return!!

Summary: House was very comfortable and spacious. King bed was very comfortable! Beautiful view and had everything we needed! Very convenient to downtown. We would definitely stay there again.

Summary: We had a wonderful 5 day family vacation. Check in was smooth and easy. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook family meals. We did stop and get groceries with a cooler, and brought them with us from the lower peninsula. Groceries are limited in this area. The wifi worked great in the evenings when we got back from our adventures. The host communicated with us very well. She even offered us an extra night to keep our adventures going. This was very appreciated, even though we could not stay longer. We were able to bring our pup, Cleo, and she loved the hikes and beaches. She just was dying to get the squirrels that were taunting her! Thank you for the use of the cabin.
