Positive: I love the Absolute setting of it all in the countryside amongst wildlife and with gorgeous neighbouring buildings that all tie together with history about the buildings. Grand gardens.

Negative: The wifi played up initially but all was sorted next morning straight away. I was impressed with all help and hospitality. It was a very minor set back but did not affect my stay as it was resolved quickly.

Positive: It was a very quiet, quaint, clean and peaceful cottage situated within a historic estate with gorgeous garden surrounds. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. The cottage was well equipped with the basics to cook light meals and breakfast. It was very well located between Cowbridge and Llantwit Major villages so you can access the spectacular coastal paths easily for beautiful scenic walks.

Negative: It didn’t have an actual bed only a sofa bed which was really uncomfortable and not at all what we thought we were getting given the cost of our stay and the description. I ended up sleeping on the floor on our last night to get a better night’s sleep. They need to make it clear in the description that you aren’t getting a bed in the cottage as you really can’t sleep comfortably as a couple on such a thin, narrow and sagging sofa bed mattress. It is also quite isolated so you need to have a car to get to the local villages.

Summary: Quaint and peaceful cottage but uncomfortable sofa bed was a major disappointment.

Positive: Very comfortable and exceptionally clean. Very quiet and well equipped. Situated in a beautiful area. The owners, Dendy and Mark were very welcoming and friendly, offering any assistance necessary. A visit to Little Cloud is highly recommended.
