Charming apartment under the rooftops of Paris, calm, full of light, with an elevator for convenience.
In the heart of the vibrant Marais, the apartment is surrounded by rich history, renowned boutiques, famous cosmetics and perfume shops, restaurants, and cafés. It’s also the epicenter of Fashion Week, perfect for experiencing the city’s creative pulse.
The apartment combines elegance and character, with designer furniture and unique antique pieces for a warm, sophisticated atmosphere.
You enter a stylish living room with authentic designer furniture like Le Corbusier and old pieces of art and decoration picked from auctions or antique shops, mostly from the 1940s and 1950s.
You will also find plenty of architecture books, as my partner is an architect, which you can enjoy reading during a relaxing day off after wandering around the city.
The apartment is very comfortable for both relaxing and working, with high-speed internet.
The bedroom has a beautiful view of Saint Paul Church and the Parisian sky. The bed is very comfortable, with two types of pillows, including a firm one for those who prefer it. A large wardrobe is also available.
The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, perfect for a long, relaxing bath after a day of exploring the city.
The kitchen, though compact, is fully equipped with a coffee machine, an oven, and a dishwasher.
A washing machine and dryer are available in my small laundry area on the same floor.
The apartment is located on the 6th floor, with an elevator that takes you to the 5th floor.
The building, beautifully crafted in stone, dates back to the 19th century.

Summary: As described. You buy your morning baguette go up make coffee and set out for the day. Averaged 15,000 steps a day for 14 days. Saw everything: start with the small museums (especially recommend Arts et Metiers and Madame Curies laboratory) Skip the Louvre. Buy a postcard..Superb location for walking. I often mapped a route of a mile or so, both walking and driving and driving sometimes took longer than walking. Really!No metro strike so all was perfect. Went to concerts and special timed events. FLV was fascinating with Hockney and his huge exhibit. Carnavalet around the corner. Musee d'Orsay now huge and a full day must see. Etc etc. Lived here as a student in 1962 at the Sorbonne and all the crazy 'manifestations'.

Summary: Your search for lodging in Paris should stop now. Rent this apartment! Mathieu has thought of everything and is an excellent communicator! The apartment is beautifully decorated and incredibly convenient to the metro and many must see attractions without feeling at all touristy. Very comfortable bed, too!

Summary: My husband and I stayed in this well appointed and perfectly situated apartment for five wonderful days in Paris. The location just steps from the Place Des Voges was the perfect place to start our morning in one of the many cafes. Two metro lines were short walks away and everything we wanted to see was easy to get to. Our host was so helpful and offered great suggestions too. We will look forward to returning.

Summary: We loved staying in Mathieu's apartment. It was perfect for the two of us - - cozy, charming, and a great location. The apartment was clean and exactly as pictured. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable. Mathieu provided excellent restaurant recommendations. We would happily stay there again.

Summary: My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at this property as she settled into her study abroad program in Paris. This stunning Haussmann style apartment came with all the practical things you would want from a home away from home…comfortable bed, clean surroundings, terrific pillows, luxuriously deep tub with steaming hot water for soaking, etc. This property is in a spectacular location in Le Marais…just a stones throw from the Picasso Museum, the National Archives Museum, and the breathtaking Place des Vosges (which also houses the preserved Paris apartment of the legendary Victor Hugo). It is decked out stylishly, with lovingly curated items and inviting furniture. Perhaps my favorite features were the delightful south facing windows that streamed sunlight from morning until evening. If the beguiling streets of Paris had not been enticing me out, I would have happily sat with a good book and a coffee, looking out on the rooftops of Le Marais for an entire afternoon. As the property suggests, one could actually imagine themselves a “Parisian” while staying there. M. Forestier, is certainly a magnanimous and kind host who seems to love sharing his own passion for greater Paris, and Le Marais in particular, with visitors. It was such a privilege to be welcomed there.

Summary: This smart, tastefully decorated and ideally located apartment is beyond comparison. Perfect situation for a couple with a small child or two adults - this was a mother and daughter trip for us and the space couldn’t have been better. The host, Matthieu is warm, helpful and accommodating. His restaurant recommendations spot on and assistance in securing airport transportation greatly appreciated.
