Come escape to Blue Heron Cabin located on Watts Bar lake with private boat slip included (Seasonal water levels May - October)! This custom log cabin offers two bedrooms and two bathrooms and accommodates up to 8 guests. The screened in porch overlooks the quiet cove, just steps away from Watts Bar Lake. The home is centrally located, about an hour away from Knoxville and Chattanooga, and on the doorstep of the Great Smoky Mountains. Trade the noise of the city for the peace and quiet of nature along with a sky full of stars at night.
Blue Heron Cabin offers both solace in nature and a gateway to 72 miles of fun on Watts Bar Lake. Entering the house, you’ll notice the charm of the rustic log cabin. Inside the kitchen and living room, accented by wood walls throughout the upper level. Head through the glass doors in the living room and you’ll be immersed in nature within the screened in porch, complete with patio furniture and an outdoor table. The master bedroom is located upstairs with a queen bed and private bathroom.
Downstairs provides plenty of space for more relaxing with a sofa/sleeper, recliner, and twin day bed with trundle. The downstairs bedroom also boasts queen size bed. There is also a full bathroom with a tub and shower.
Outside, you’ll find a fire pit, porch swing, and plenty of peace and quiet. A path leads from the back porch to the boat slip (water at pier from April 15 thru November 1st). The dock provides plenty of space for swimming and fishing. Two kayaks are provided for your enjoyment. Boats can be rented from nearby Marinas, or you can bring your own boat and park it at the private dock!.

Summary: The property is exactly as pictured. The water acce. There ate 2 dogs on a near by property that are litter mates and play but they are trained for an invisible fence and were no worry when we walked our dog past. I wish we could have enjoyed the outside more but were were there for Thanksgiving and the weather was cold. The cabin stays toasty warm. This shouldn't even be called a cabin, it was gorgeous!ss would be wonderful in warmer months.

Summary: We stayed for five days at this wonderful place. It’s an easy walk down to the dock for fishing and kayaking, offering a quiet and private woodsy feel. The hosts were exceptional, and nearby, there are cute little towns and a charming, homey general store. We will definitely be coming back! The hosts were amazing and super accommodating. Highly recommend for any future visits.

Summary: We came up Friday and stayed the whole weekend. Once we got there Friday afternoon, there was so much to do, that we literally never left again until Sunday at check out! We fished, kayaked, swam, grilled out, made s’mores in their rock fire pit, played board games they provided, and at night, we played hide and seek in dark. And they even allowed us to bring our furry family member, which really sold us on this place. We would absolutely stay here again and again! We’re only 2 hours away so we will definitely be back! Thank you for being apart of the memories we’re making with our kiddos.

Summary: This was a great property with everything we could need. The hosts provided plenty of towels, which was important with how close the lake is! There were a lot of spiders, but they seemed friendly.
