Summary: Stayed before and was still very nice. The hot tub however was replaced since our last stay the new tub is much smaller and notas comfortable for four adults.

Summary: Here is my overly thorough take on this 4/5 star cabin Cons: Can confirm there are many minor issues in every room. Stained comforter, mildew in shower door, broken toilet paper holder, double wall windows had inner windows shut but some outer windows open. Fireplaces did not work. Kitchen was barely supplied, no salt or pepper, gross sponges and soap container, only a few pots and pans and only 2 sheet pans total. I know it sounds dumb but the light switches were confusing. There would be a panel with 3 switches where one is power to the switch the middle one is also power but with a dimmer and the third one was a mystery switch that did nothing. Dvd player seems to function until you put a dvd in. Myself and 2 others all have 4 year degrees in computer related fields and none of us could figure out the AV situation in any room. Outdoor space was winterized (duh) and this is onky a con because it obviously hadnt been looked after for a year or so because there was dirt build up on everything. The gas grill downstairs was a joke. I dont think you could fit more than 2 burgers on it and the gas wouldnt ignite even. Downstairs kitchen had 1 plate and a dirty knife in a drawer otherwise empty. It is out in the country so if you arent used to country darkness it may seem very dark. That being said the drive out there is incredibly hilly and winding with multiple blind hills where you cannot see over them until you are over during day and nighttime. And the drive into galena is 30 minutes away Pros: Decently secluded and thick walls give great privacy. Water pressure was awesome. Hot tub was clean and hot when we arrived but the floor was soaked from previous rainstorm. Also only door to hot tub from inside is through the master bedroom. (Sorry not a pro, I know) Lots of cups bowls and plates Plenty of parking room Great view of nature from all windows Plenty of fridge and freezer space Comfy couches Lots of games Held heat very well and distributed heat well Plenty of towels/wash cloths All in all like i said 80% correct, place honestly just needs some small fixes everywhere and it would be perfect.

Summary: While there are definitely some things that could be repaired/updated, all in all we had a very nice time. The rental agency could not have been more responsive and helpful when we had difficulty getting the fireplace started (someone had turned the main switch off underneath) and by providing us instructions on the main floor TV (there are lots of remotes and it was very confusing). We had a wonderful time and the home met our needs very well. We would love to stay here again. Thank you!!

Summary: The basement was a bit too cold. The main shower didn't drain. The futon in the 3rd room upstairs was broken. Had to sleep on the floor. The living room TV kept going completely black with the sound still on. We would unplug it and turn the TV off and back on to continue watching. There's a weird feeling bump on the floor walking into the master bedroom. (As if it may fall through to the basement) Garbage can outside wasn't large enough. No mop for the floor was found for the snow and salt brought in. Would have been nice if we could have used the garage. Everything else was great! Great Table and space.

Summary: The house was clean but all the windowsills were dirty with dust and bugs!! Different lights with fans were all separated from the ceiling, hanging by wires. The kitchen faucet handle fell off. The front door base fell off and my husband fixed it! The master bedroom bathroom handle moved. The basement closet smelled foul!! All the outside furniture could use a wash and cleaning. Porch full of leaves. Back deck with a hose laying on top of furniture. Alps TV outside on the side of garage!!

Summary: Very nice house, plenty of space for four adults and four older kids (ranging from 17-24). The basement was great for the kids to play cards, games, foosball. Nice kitchen and large dining table. Second kitchen in basement.

Summary: The inside was nice. Communication was excellent. The outside could use some cleaning up. The lower patio was pretty much unusable. Upper deck chairs were dirty. Has great amenities, hot tub on the deck and pool, beach, restaurant near by. Nice location.

Summary: Stayed for a mom-cation with 2 friends. Listing is very accurate. The filters for the coffee pot are basket style. And that coffee pot was awesome - once you make a pot you push the lever and you fill the cup instead of having a glass carafe. Such a nice feature!! Beds were comfy and nice warm linens. Bathroom had several fluffy towels. We did not use the hot tub, but it looked very well maintained. It does show some wear and the master fan is noisy, but those were very minor things in a beautiful home. Definitely worth the price and will be staying here again.
