Enjoy this spacious home near the peaceful lake in Apple River Canyon. Located in Galena country and Jo Daviess County.
During the warmer summer months, enjoy some fun at the local pool and beach or rent a boat and tour around the private lake.
Enjoy the large living areas indoor & out. Features 2 kitchen areas, 2 decks, rec. room & peaceful views. There are several options for local entertainment perfect for families or group of friends. Just some of the local options - beach, swimming pool, fishing, hunting or just a simple relaxation while taking in all nature has to offer. There's something for all!
This is truly a beautiful home with a lot of space to enjoy making memories with your family and friends. Some local activities to do are fishing, swimming pool, local beach, hunting, hiking trails, tennis/basketball courts, and much more. Apple Canyon Lake is a private lake so you're unable to use your own boat. Boat rental is available but bookings need to be arranged through me. The rental slots fill up fast so the sooner you let me know the better chance of getting a reservation. We are also located only 25 minutes from Galena and all it has to offer.
Relax in the spacious living room with large comfortable leather sectional, a 65" smart TV with Netflix & Prime Video for free.
Master bed includes a new king bed, private bathroom and shower & walk-in closet.
Bedroom 2 has a new queen size bed with beautiful views out to the large nature filled backyard.
Bedroom 3 offers a comfortable trundle bed with a new full size mattress on the top and twin size on bottom.
There is a sleeper sofa along with a 50" smart TV with Netflix and PrimeVideo in the peaceful lower level with a walkout door to the backyard.
The house has been furnished with all new and modern pieces. Equipped with new mattresses, pillows, linens, and towels. Plenty of fresh linens, towels will be provided.
Kitchen is stocked with all your basic needs such as silverware, dishes, coffee maker and a toaster.
If you plan to eat in during your stay, we suggest stopping at one of the grocery stores on your way. There is a Sullivans Foods located in Stockton IL. (20 minute drive)
Free WiFi is included and the TVs are smart which offer Free Netflix, and Prime video.
If you're bringing small children, there is a portable pack n play, and high chair for your use, so you won't need to bring these if you need to save space with your travel gear.
As your hosts, we want you to know that our desire is that you, your family, and friends have as nice of an experience as possible while staying in our home. We pride ourselves on making it as clean and as comfortable we can. We want to make our place a "home away from home" for your vacation.

Summary: Overall, a nice roomy and comfortable home. Game room is a plus and a big hit for kids of all ages! Finished basement is large and good to spread out the group. Would like to see maybe bunk beds in the basement as the trundle bed in one upstairs bedroom makes the room too tight to move around. Kitchen seemed to have adequate supplies. Bathrooms definitely need more washcloths and towels as another reviewer had mentioned. We had to buy a pack of washcloths to use during our stay. Master bathroom has a walk-in shower. Electric seemed to be kind of funny in some areas of the house. Lights would blink occasionally. To correct this we had to flip the switch up hard and it stopped the blinking most of the time. Maybe it’s the kind of lightbulbs used? Location was quiet and area is nice to take a walk. Sitting areas outside are relaxing to view the wildlife.

Summary: The home has a great setup for lots of friends and family to join for a fun get away. The games in the garage are a huge plus for something fun to do while not out sight seeing or doing other activities that the area has to offer.

Summary: We all enjoyed ourselves the bed are very comfortable, linen smells good, the screen door can use a little fix the slamming is pretty loud, we had great weather and it's perfect for a senior group like us, all bedrooms on one floor. Thank you

Summary: Perfect location and well appointed home. Truly enjoyed the game room in the garage, the additional space down stairs, and the fire pit out back. It’s just a short ride to the golf course, lake, and amenities but secluded enough to feel out of the way. Would definitely recommend!
