Positive: The views were lovely. Liked the beach area with the grandbabies
Negative: The beds were awful, the TV wouldn't work, there was no true place to fish even though it offers you to fish big part of why we booked, no check out instructions at all, my grandson spilled some water and when I went to wipe it up the towel was dirty because the floors were dirty.

Positive: It’s perfect for a getaway and nice and quiet. If you have the choice between a hotel or long cove, choose long cove. Yes it cost a little more but it’s more than worth it.

Positive: I booked my stay in the houseboat to celebrate my significant others 30th birthday. Surprisingly the resort is actually not too far from the south end of Charlotte about 25 minutes. 9.5 out of 10! The houseboat was definitely a different experience but super enjoyable if you want to get in touch with nature. I would definitely book again when it’s warmer outside, because we were actually off the dock. The boat itself is enough space for a couple, it had a great living/kitchen area as well as a spacious bedroom area. The property even compensated an early check in for me. Check in was quick and easy. We were able to utilize an outdoor patio/grilling area, as well as a lake front fire pit. We did have to bring our own charcoal/firewood for the grill. The property is private so fishing is allowed without a permit. House keeping was a 10/10 no complaints on cleanliness. We were also provided with extra heaters to keep the boat warm. There are AC units as well.
Negative: My .5 rating is mainly because where the boat is docked at, there is no railing to hold onto. It’s kind of just a straight pathway on top of the water to the boat which I felt was a little unsafe. It’s brightly lit, but the railing would just help a little more. You can tell that this property has a lot of life to it, I think they are under new management and they are getting the property back up and running, but there’s a lot in store for the future of the resort. I also saw that people were complaining about the road down to the resort, and I’m sure that that’s owned by the city and there’s no way that they can really fix that but I would just say drive slowly because there are lots of potholes.

Positive: It was such a beautiful view. It was peaceful and queit. Felt like I was tucked away in my cabin. Truly wonderful experience and I look forward to visiting again.
