Positive: If you are looking for a real Bali and real nature, come and stay in Candidasa or similar area. You will not find crowds of tourists here, or sandy beaches with sunbeds, instead you will be close to real jungle, many crabs and lizards. This hotel and location is about pure nature of Bali. You can still find great restaurants for dinner, like Vincent's in 20 minutes walking from hotel. We couldn't swim in the sea near the hotel, as there were many brown snakes in the water, however if you are not disturbed by that - you can easily swim/snorkel there by the hotel. Nice and clean territory of the hotel, clean pool with great ocean view, good menu in Restaurant of Lotus Bungalows and friendly staff who is very polite and helpful. We used Grab taxi and private driver to get around the island almost every day, which was costly, but still okay.
Negative: Breakfast was very low quality, probably one of the most poor quality/selection wise breakfast during my 15+ years of travelling experience around the world :( I found black human hair in the jam; pancakes are very different from those we used to eat, those were often very very raw inside, which is harmful for your gut. We stayed hungry every morning, as the menu selection wasn't tasty for us - dry overcooked sausages, no fresh vegetables, no regular orange/apple juices, no cheese or ham. It's mentioned "very good breakfast" on the booking.com, however if you travelled around the world, you know what " very good breakfast" means.. Cleanness could be better, as under our bed were many spider nets and our bed linen were with many stains, gray-ish. Belly infection: 1 day we spent in hotel and didn't eat outside of hotel - we got "Bali Belly". It happened in the evening, tried to call to reception at midnight, but it was already closed, as no-one answered( Most likely cook is washing salad leaves with regular tap water, which is not safe at all, or other sanitary standards were violated. We felt bad twice after eating in Lotus Bungalows - during our stay.

Positive: Amazing views and the sound of the waves is a natural white noise. Incredible. The pool was large with alot of different levels and also shade by the shallow ends which was amazing for us as parents because we didnt need to worry about our daughter too much. She loved this pool and was sad to have to leave it. Bungalows were nice size and clean, also very nicely decorated. Food was also really nice. Staff also super friendly and helpful!
Negative: There were some problems with the wifi. But we managed! Also, the location is quite bare outside the hotel - 15mins to nearest supermarket and roads were not great with a buggy, again, we managed though and had a great time away from the busy touristic areas.
Summary: Amazing pool for littles!!
