Positive: Wow, what an amazing little property with the most beautiful lake views ever! The property was clean and the air conditioning worked well under stress! It did get very warm up on the top bunks but the hosts have done everything they could by putting a fan up there - we just set the air conditioning unit to stop towards their level in the hope that the fan recycled the cold air! It was lovely to wake up and see terrapins, massive catfish and herons each day, all from our decking. The welcome drinks of juice water and wine were much appreciated ! The bikes were useful to use in the morning if items were needed from the shop - 6mins cycle each way instead of 25mins walking! We paid extra for the wakeboarding and obstacle course - it was great. You get to watch the beginners from the decking!
Negative: Needs an indoor door mat to wipe your feet at both ends and a hand towel in the bathroom for when you’ve washed your hands - otherwise you run the risk of using someone’s used showering towel! Be aware, if it’s a ‘bad weather day’ (there was a little rain), the whole place shuts down… we arrived by taxi at 2pm and then found this out so had to walk 25mins in the then baking heat of 34degrees C to get some food from dinner from the nearest shop. Arrival instructions are a bit confusing but once you’re physically there, it’s easier to untangle!
Summary: Would defo stay again if visiting the Budapest area

Positive: Everything, perfect position in the park. If you’re coming via cab/taxi make sure you don’t get dropped off near the ticket office it’s a long walk to the opposite side of the park, make sure it’s near the car park where the beach stretches out to the lake.
Negative: Nothing to not like, but if your coming via taxi or public transport the nearest shop is at least a 15min bike ride.
Summary: Great place for relaxing or water sports.

Positive: Overall we had a great time. The host was great and very helpful. It was great being so close to Lupa Beach so we could come and go to the beach as we pleased. The air conditioner was amazing so we could escape from the heat when we needed. And the complimentary drinks were a really nice thing too. Keeping our drinks cold in the bar fridge was very much appreciated! The shower was really nice and hot. We enjoyed sitting on the deck in the morning and evening when it wasn’t too hot and the outdoor shower on the deck was so nice!
Negative: We really did love the property but a few small suggestions for improvement would be a microwave so we can heat our own food, since the food on site closes very early and is not open for breakfast. Also some bowls and cutlery would help - we went and bought some cheap bowls so we could at least have cereal for breakfast. Blockout curtains would have been nice as the sun came through very bright and early. This was not a big issue but something small that would help make the stay a little better. We were lucky that the staff at Lupa allowed us to take our car to the property after the beach was closed because otherwise we would have had no way to get all our luggage to our room due to the rough rocky path. Perhaps another suggestion is to provide some sort of hand-pull cart with large wheels for guests to be able to wheel their luggage in. One thing that made the stay unenjoyable was the constant loud music. I understand it is separate from the accommodation but it affected us a lot. The music came from one of the bars on the beach and it was so loud that we all had trouble sleeping. Out of 4 nights, there was only 1 night that the music didn’t stay on until late. Two of the nights the music went past midnight. And on Saturday night the music went past 2am due to a beach party event being held. Then in the mornings, the Lupa Beach staff would use an electric blower from 8am to blow the sand from the footpaths and clean the area. The music starts again at 10am. So unfortunately there is very little peace and quiet. If we had known about this we would have changed our dates to avoid the loud nights. We all were exhausted from disrupted sleep every night.
Summary: Overall a great stay… avoid the weekend if you value your sleep….
