Summary: We stayed in this home for a month to be near family in the area. It was a perfect home for us. Simple and clean with everything we needed. Communication with the property manager was excellent.

Summary: This is a very nice home in an area full of stores, restaurants and activities. It is on a quiet street. The house has all the modern conveniences including a kitchen that we could make our meals in. The only problems we had were with the check in process. We waited 45 minutes outside in the heat of the summer while vrbo contacted the owner as the code to open the door did not work. We were not happy about that as we had no way to contact the owner except through the vrbo email. We had food and medications that needed to be in a refrigerator and 2 family members with medical issues that couldn't be out in the heat. I did notice that this was a past problem in their reviews. The house has very limited furniture and decorations but for us this was fine. The towels were mentioned in other reviews that while being plush and nice, they left blue lint all over your body and in the dryer. We brought our own but did have to use the house ones and those reviews were right. If you don't like lint, bring your own. The owner should provide a broom to sweep off the lovely deck outback and front porch. There was a vacuum to use inside the house but a broom for outdoors would have been nice. The central air was awesome as the temperatures were in the high 90's and high humidity while we were there. The owner had it on so we entered a nicely cooled house! I would have given this home a 5 star rating if we could have gotten in upon arrival as promised.

Summary: kitchen was superb - clean, great cooking tools etc. overall house was very clean and squared away - but - it needs more and comfortable furniture both on the main floor and downstairs. door code did not work at specified arrival time

Summary: Communication with owner was outstanding. Updates were very nice. Location was perfect. Very quiet neighborhood. The only thing that we missed, was having a TV in the bedroom. Other than that we had a good time.

Summary: We stayed in this house for 2.5 weeks in April. First, the good elements of this property. The half-acre, fenced-in yard was so fabulous for our dogs. The owner kindly allowed us to bring our two small-medium dogs, and they loved the backyard. With tall, mature trees, lots of space, quietude, and birdsong, it has a lovely setting. There is a fox that lives under the neighbor's shed, which was also really lovely. The house itself is completely renovated and new. And this is a new rental property. The mattresses are memory foam and comfortable. The kitchen is well-outfitted for the most part. The owner kindly provided a desk so we could work from home while we were there. And now for the not-so-good stuff. First, this property does not have a hot tub. Yes, it is listed as the top amenity, but there is not one. Second, this is not a luxury property. This is a new property that is sparsely furnished. The sheets are Amazon basics, 100% polyester; the towels are dark blue and left blue fuzz all over us despite repeated washing and drying; there is not 1 lamp in the entire house. Overhead lights only. And there are no rugs or any kind of home furnishings or decor, save a couple of fake plants in the dining area. And the grass was knee-high for the first 10 days of our stay. I did bring all of this to the owners attention, so I can only hope the listing is adjusted and more home comforts are added. The owner was somewhat responsive, but the inaccurate listing is troubling.

Summary: The property is deceptively small and quirky when . The finished walkout basement was nice. We appreciated the water left by the host and left behind some things for the next family to stay. The living room is The couch in the basement was very odd We did have an issue with the towels being extremely fuzzy, leaving a lot of lint behind when using them. That caused us to need to rewash all of the towels. The amount of lint left behind in the dryer was too much. Additionally, the communication about checkout time didn’t match the reservation, creating confusion. I think a book with everything the guest needs to know, like the Wi-Fi password, check in and out procedures, (and time), house rules etc. is necessary and what we have seen at other properties. A bit too far from DC, but great if your visit is mostly in Virginia!
