We would like you to stay in our Perigourdine honey coloured stone country house in Dordogne and very close to the Charente department. Close by are idyllic towns and hamlets like Angoulleme, Aubeterre, Brantome,Riberac, Saint Sevarin,Verteillac, and Villebois-Lavalette with shops, restaurants, river beaches and many more exciting places to visit.
This exceptional property offers five acres of private land enhanced by large areas of lawn, surrounded by mature trees, orchards and terraced areas, making it perfect for outdoor living whilst appreciating the spectacular panoramic views of the valley and offering seclusion and tranquility with a large private swimming pool, ideal for those long hot sunny days.
This wonderful house over two levels, the main living area consists of a large living room with period features, wooden floors, beamed ceiling and this is highlighted with a magnificent large marble fire place and log burner adding warmth for those beautiful magical winter nights central heating throughout.
This large living room opens up onto three sides of the house with gardens and a large balcony looking onto the swimming pool and over the valley.
The kitchen is well stocked and opens onto the same balcony as the living room which makes it a perfect place for dining and entertaining day or night for that fantastic alfresco living. Washing machine and dishwasher will help make life just that little bit easier, there are two large king size bedrooms, both en suit, one with a balcony over looking the pool, hamlet and valley, and the other room has patio doors leading onto the terrace, front garden and childrens play area. There is a separate family toilet on this level.
On the top floor there is a large master bedroom with sofa, TV and spectacular views of the surrounding garden. Two large double bedrooms, cots can be added to any room if required. Two large shower rooms are on this floor. All bedrooms have top quality bed linen and towels. There further tow bedrooms for larger parties, please ask owner for more details.
The ground floor which opens onto the pool area with sun loungers ,TV room/games room has a pool table and dart board. Toilet/Bath/shower. There are a further 2 bedrooms, kitchen and TV room available for larger parties if required, please contact the owners for further information and prices.

Summary: The house was fantastic, perfectly set up for our needs. We loved all the play equipment, the pool and all the great outdoor seating areas. Bob and Linda were very friendly and helpful, we all had a great week and really didn’t want to leave. The kids absolutely loved it and are already asking when we can go back. Would 100% recommend this place to others.

Summary: We had a fabulous holiday with the family 2 children 5 and 7 plus 8 adults ranging from 20 to 60.The house had everything we could wish for. The bedrooms were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The pool was really clean, and was cleaned whilst we were there. The gardens are huge and there are so many things to use, ie: badminton, trampolines, bikes you could never be bored. We used the barbecues a lot and had the choice of dining at the front or rear of the house and inside. The sunshine is on the balcony from early in the morning and all through the day, the views are fantastic. Some of us visited road our-sur-glane about an hour away, famous ghost village after the war. The market in Riberac on Friday was well worth a visit, very busy so get there early. Kayaking at Brantome was a lovely day out. a market in the morning for those who didn't want to kayak. All in all this is an excellent place for a holiday, some of us have already booked for next year, and for me personally we will definately be revisiting at some point. Thank you to the owners who were extremely helpful when contacted for anything.

Summary: We were a group of eleven, ranging in age from two to seventy. We were all quite stunned and highly delighted by this house. Everything in it is of good quality, including the bed linen and there is so much space both inside and out. Every bedroom is a good size and with two kitchens and four fridges there is no need for frequent supermarket visits! The outdoor space is great with terraces all around the house so you can follow the sun and wonderful gardens. The photos do not lie! I can honestly say that at the end of the week no-one wanted to leave. We have stayed in many holiday rentals in France and this surpasses anything else. We will certainly return.
