Come enjoy the Luxury Alpine Chalet - located in a quaint river community just 10 minutes outside of Pagosa Springs and 20 minutes from Wolf Creek Ski Area. Nestled in the forest next to the San Juan River with access through the green space behind the house or through the neighborhood- you can enjoy private river access to jump on your tube, kayak, fish or just enjoy a peaceful walk. The space:
The home is a 5,000 sqf tri-level with an open floor plan and 25 foot ceilings and views of the forest from every room. It has a beautiful on-demand fireplace, is newly remodeled and refinished with new appliances, beds and bedding, bathrooms and finishes. The stunning views of the mountains and river are matched with comfortable seating throughout to enjoy the scenic beauty, relax and connect with friends and family.
The kitchen is open and inviting and is fully appointed with granite counters, an 8 burner Wolf range, two refrigerators, toaster oven, waffle maker, coffee maker, Keurig, rice cooker, food processor and more. You can easily cook for your group. It is well stocked with pots, pans and all the cooking supplies. Basic Spices etc are also available.
The main living area has 2 large sofas and so large club chairs with a 60” TV. It is connected to the dining room and kitchen and has great views of the forest.
The basement is a respite for kids, man-caving and/or all around relaxing. It has 60” tv, with tons of games, books, Apple TV, DVD player and PS4 console. This is a great area for the kiddos to have their own place to hang or a separate family/group. The basement has windows in every room and opens up to its own patio and fire pit.
There are 5 bedrooms and each has their own bathroom, except for the king bed in the basement that shares with the bunk room.
The Chalet is a “smart" home and is equipped with nest thermostats, outdoor cams, doorbell and nest protect. It has radiant heating controlled in each room. There are smart speakers and TV’s in each bedroom. The wifi signal is wired throughout the home with a mesh system for optimal distribution.
This is not a party house and is a quiet neighborhood. We have spent a lot of time renovating the home and making it special and it's important that we have guests that respect that.
The location can't be beat - you can’t get any closer to Wolf Creek and experience the tranquility of the forest with being so close to Town. The home has the biggest double lot in the neighborhood backing up to the green space and forest preserve and faces an open wildflower field. The fishing is abundant and the river is absolutely stunning. Come make memories with your family on the river!
Guest access:
Walking the neighborhood is a beautiful experience...check out the two trout ponds, bridge over the San Juan River and all the quaint homes. The river has ample fish and a great place to hang out. There is no other neighborhood in Pagosa like this one! We have a garage and large driveway enough for 5 cars.

Summary: We a large group in town for a wedding. This property was perfect for us. All 5 couples had private bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen is truly well stocked with plenty of everything for a large group. Would definitely recommend to anyone needing space to a large family or group. Owners were very helpful with questions we had. We will be returning!

Summary: The home is beautifully and artfully decorated. Kitchen well stocked but need to make your own ice, no filtered water in fridge. The home is about a half block from highway, so a lot of traffic noise if sitting outside, otherwise beautiful setting. NOT a 2 minute walk to river. You would have to have a machete in order to trek thru the brush to get there. The neighborhood has some access if you see a blue rock then there is river access thru the homes there, however you are not allowed to park on the street. There are 2 stocked ponds where you can fish and there is parking. So, we were disappointed as we wanted a home on the river. There seems to be a fly problem upstairs, we did not let any in but there were hundreds of dead flies in the windowsills that accumulated within our 3 day stay.

Summary: This is our second time to stay at this house. House is perfectly appointed with everything you could ever need. The layout of the home is situated to give everyone space and privacy. The deck is wonderful to enjoy the cool mornings and evenings with great views. Owner is very responsive and helpful. Neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. We will be back!

Summary: This property is a perfect location for exploring the area. We had 4 adults and 6 teenage kids. Plenty of room and kitchen well stocked. San Juan river right down a little path and a neighborhood pond nearby. From the back porch you have a perfect view of the mountains and river. Book this property. You won’t be disappointed!

Summary: Beautiful property!!! The house was amazing. there was plenty of room for all 10 of us. Lauren was a great communicator. We lost power for a brief moment the first night due to a storm and the directions to reset the internet were in her welcome book. So impressed. House was perfect distance to town as well!
