## Neighborhood
Aalsmeer is an old eel fishing town on the banks of the Westeinderplassen. With a rich history it is now a characteristic town with lovely lake views from the marinas. The town has a small but fun center where you can go to shop or to enjoy a drink in the town harbour. There is an outdoor market every Tuesday. Also to be found in Aalsmeer: a casino, horti-culture and flower art museum and a number of great restaurants. Not to forget; the biggest flower (tulips!) auction of the country, which is still functional.
The interconnected lakes have a total area of over 10km2 and exist of one large lake, one smaller lake and hundreds of small islands within them. It's a great experience to navigate the lakes and small waterways that connect them and the islands.

Aalsmeer is only a 15 minute drive from Schiphol Airport and by train and bus it will take you about 20. In general, public transport will get you around quite well. We will share a handy website to plan your route!

Summary: My family of four had the pleasure of staying at this property. We found it nicely away from the city while still being readily accessible via bike and bus. The nearby park is beautiful, and you can enjoy the singing of local troops of young equestrians as they practice in the park. The house is nice and comfortable. We found it particularly clean. Would wholly recommend a stay here.

Summary: My friends and I are never able to get together and we finally were able to get away for a girl’s trip for my birthday! This place was perfect for us as we enjoy the city, but also like a private space that’s quiet when getting home. The space was clean, cozy, and relaxing. The beds were very comfortable and it was nice being able to have a full kitchen to cook in. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your property!

Summary: It was a perfect place for our needs. It's close to Amsterdam and Schiphol but it's quiet in the evenings. It was nice to return to a clean, cozy, and well-equipped apartment at the end of the day. The in-unit washer and dryer were a big plus. The kitchen had everything we needed to make breakfast and dinners. It was a perfect spot for our excursions.

Summary: I loved the place with the little garden. The beds are very comfortable. It's very quiet even if it's closed to a road. We enjoyed everything except that there is no coffee and you need to make sure you find the coffee before you arrive cause it's far from everything. You need a bike or a car. We were 4 and used a cab to go anywhere and this was cheaper than public transport. I highly recommend this place it's a good deal for 4 adults.

Summary: My husband, son and I stayed here for a week and it was the perfect size and location. It was 20 minutes by car into Amsterdam and nicely nestled outside the busyness of the city. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. I will definitely stay here again on any future trips!

Summary: Beautiful and comfortable property. Spacious and tastefully appointed. Beds were very comfy, and the shower is great. It's situated in a commerical estate, ands it's a bit of a trek into town by public transport, but the neighborhood is quiet at night. There is a bus right outside though. The only downside is the surprise cleaning fees, which are very expensive, considering you're asked to empty the bins yourself, and leave the dishes washed up but the dishwasher empty, so you're hand washing the breakfast dishes on the last day.

Summary: Great property. Easy check in. Clean and well presented We really enjoyed having the use of the bikes to cycle to Amsterdam through the wood. We had to buy a set of Allen keys to adjust the bike seats and have left them there for the next residents. The owners were good enough to replace the broken pump promptly and communicated well with us. Some great restaurants locally eg restaurant Colijn.
