About the Area
Surrounded by trees in a gated community in Ellijay called The Bluffs of Cartecay, this gorgeous Satterwhite-built log home sits on two secluded acres, with over 200 feet of Cartecay river frontage and no other cabins in sight. It’s the ultimate in privacy, but less than two miles to the shopping complex, four miles to the restaurants and antique shopping in Ellijay and just miles to downtown Blue Ridge.
The Spot
If you love the water, you can enjoy it in several forms here, whether it’s listening to the sound of the rushing river from the back deck or the brook from the front yard, soaking in the hot tub, or sitting by the backyard pond. The Cartecay River is just steps from the back door, so you can fish to your heart’s content and grill your catch for dinner on the outdoor grill overlooking the river. The outside areas are designed for outdoor living, with rockers and patio chairs to relax in, a 50” TV, wraparound porches and three fire pits to warm you.
The Living Area
Inside, the cabin is a beautiful mix of rustic elegance and modern comfort, with soaring vaulted ceilings, hardwood floors, and large windows overlooking the Cartecay River providing a bright and airy feel and wildlife décor to highlight the nature theme. Reclining chairs, sofa and loveseat, a stacked stone gas fireplace and 65” TV with DVD make the great room a warm and welcoming place to relax and unwind.
The Kitchen
The spacious kitchen is fully equipped and furnished with solid wood cabinets, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, an icemaker, coffee maker and more. The adjacent dining area seats up to seven, plus three at the breakfast bar.
The Bedrooms
You’ll slumber in comfort in your choice of three bedrooms, each with luxury bedding, a 50” TV, and ceiling fan. The master bedroom overlooks the river and features a king log bed and zero gravity massage chair, and a private bath with granite counters, walk-in shower, double showerheads, double vanities, and a walk-in closet. The second bedroom also overlooks the river and features a queen log bed. The third bedroom is set up with two twin log beds. Both share a bath with a step-in tub/shower, granite counters and a linen closet.
The Game/Movie Room
The cabin comes with a well-equipped garage game room, featuring a pool table, foosball, darts, A 50” TV and a multitude of board games for every age. The movie room above comes with a 75” TV with streaming service that will keep the kids occupied while parents enjoy some quiet time.

Summary: From the time we arrived we loved the cabin, it was clean and so cozy. The jacuzzi was very clean and was wonderful to use in the cool evenings and the fire pit was also a big hit. The location was very close to all types of things (i.e. grocery and activities). The ambience with the flowing river in the backyard was very serene. We highly recommend this wonderful cabin. The host Anthony was extremely responsive and just a pleasure to communicate with.

Summary: This property is beautiful. The cabin sits at the end of a road with few neighbors. The cabin and hot tub are well maintained. There was an issue with the cleaning crew that the homeowner addressed during our stay. Things I wish I had known when booking the property is that the highway runs directly across the creek from the property, so there is traffic noise when outside. Also, there is a warehouse across the creek and a bright advertising sign. These issues are likely less noticeable during the spring and summer when the leaves are full.

Summary: Beautiful location/property - the cabin was very nice, neat and well stocked. The river view, hot tub, fire pit, games, location and easy access to downtown Ellijay and surrounding towns was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will plan a return visit in the future. The only negative I can note is the early 10am checkout time.

Summary: It was good. There was only 1 roll of paper towels for a 3 night, 4 day stay. There was shredded lettuce dropped on the inside of the refrigerator. You couldn't watch the same thing on any tv on the property.
