From inside a large floor to ceiling window provides views of the countryside, while under-floor heating and an indoor log burner will make you feel extra cozy. Experience a luxury glamping break on a farm in the Suffolk countryside. All of our shepherd’s huts have private hot tubs, as well as everything you need for a memorable stay. Cook up a delicious BBQ on our fire pit or snuggle under a blanket watching the stars. Set within 70 acres of grazing paddocks, apple orchards and woodlands, they make for a truly relaxing get-away.
Woodthorpes is a family-owned farm in the beautiful Suffolk countryside. Independent (and out of sight) from the main home, you’ll be surrounded by open fields and peaceful grazing horses. There are many wonderful routes for walking and bike riding which makes our 70 acre farm the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
You’ll be staying on the doorstep of Arger Fen, a large nature reserve and beauty spot, which you can reach easily by foot. A short walk will take you into the village of Assington which has a gastropub, cafe and farmshop offering local produce.
Nearby is the historic and popular tourist town of Lavenham – a Harry Potter filming location. Five minutes by car are two golf courses, a spa and gin tasting distillery. There’s plenty of ways to relax or unwind, in this stunning part of Suffolk.

Summary: A beautiful lodge with everything you need provided (cutlery, cooking utensils, cleaning products, coffee, Netflix etc.) in a very private location in the middle of the stunning countryside. Couldn’t recommend enough, we will be back!

Summary: I personally loved the hot tub, plenty of room to stretch out. The shepards hut (juniper) was very well kitted out. The kitchen has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Including spare charging cables for your electronics which I thought was a nice touch. The double bed was comfortable and you get plenty of spare blankets and pillows if needed on those cold nights. I never felt cold as the underfloor heating kept things very warm. I'll definitely be back.

Summary: We loved the fire pit, the jacuzzi and the Juniper Hut. Every little detail and decoration inside and outside was gorgeous. We went there for my boyfriend’s birthday and we had an amazing time. Thank you!

Summary: Wonderful stay in the beautiful Juniper Hut. Easy communication with host to have hot tub pre heated before our arrival. The hut had all amenities with great information on the local area. Bed was comfortable and black out blinds throughout!

Summary: We loved everything about our stay, the hot tub was so lovely . Everything was so clean and lovely . We was luckily enough to have such lovely sunny weather. We came away feeling very relaxed , it’s exactly what we needed and my partner had the best 40th Birthday. Thank you so much.

Summary: We stayed in the Juniper hut & it was lovely.It was cosy,comfortable and really well thought out with lovely touches like the coffee machine, marshmallows for toasting, slippers and robes. The log hot tub took about one and half hours to heat up and was so relaxing, looking up at the stars in such a peaceful secluded spot! I loved the smell of the logs burning too!We also opted for the breakfast basket which was delicious! The whole stay was relaxing, romantic and really special! We’ll be back!

Summary: I loved it all from the minute we drove up the driveway to the minute we left.. it was all so beautiful, peaceful, and remote which was just what we wanted. For my first ever time staying in a hut with a hot tub I can say I absolutely loved it.. the hut was beautiful inside and out, it was all so incredibly beautiful, waking up to see horses and bunnies every morning, hearing nothing but wildlife, I would 100% love to come back!
