In Elba Island, right by the sea, this holiday house is located in a quiet and exclusive area, overlooking one of the most beautiful sandy beaches of the island. 20 meters far from the sea, direct access to the private area on the sea from the Mediterranean garden. This two-level villa is ideal for the holiday of large families with children, during summertime or wintertime. It is located on the North coast, it is exposed to the West, therefore it is perfectly sunny throughout the day, until sunset. The sea can be reached directly from the garden, the sandy beach is 2 minute walk away.
The property includes the main villa of great charm, with six bedrooms (for a total of 14 people) and four bathrooms, a large kitchen and a spacious living room; from the large panoramic terrace you reach a completely independent dependance with a bedroom, kitchenette and bathroom (for 3 people). In total, the property can accommodate up to 17 people in total, maximum comfort. The villa and the annex are rented jointly and are both included in the rent.
A spacious private area overlooking the sea, equipped with sun loungers, is for the exclusive use of guests; it is easily accessible from the garden. The large garden on several levels, terraced with Mediterranean shrubs, directly overlooks the sandy bay. Two canoes are available for guests.
The property is equipped with all services, including outdoor furniture and a barbecue to enjoy lunches and dinners outdoors on the large terrace, while admiring the splendid view of Capraia Island. There are two comfortable outdoor hot showers in environments that offer maximum privacy. Some areas have air conditioning. Highly reliable wi-fi is provided by stable ADSL cable connection. Summary: The property is really wonderful and unique - not many houses have direct, private sea access in amazing clear water (think Sardegna) and incredible views from some elevation. We really enjoyed being able to hop in the water from our private deck and then walk - as the sea is very shallow - to the beach ~30 meters away (you can also just walk 3 min down the hill directly to the public beach area). We also liked that the town/beach of Procchio is just a 5-10 min walk down the hill in the other direction if you're in need of a bigger, more equipped beach and don't want to drive. There are also some great restaurants/bakeries/etc in town. The house itself was super clean and very well equipped with good internet, great kitchen/bbq and tons of sleeping space. The "dependance" apartment was also great for a couple/small family seeking some added privacy - it has just been redone and is very comfortable. The views really are amazing and the pictures don't do it justice. Finally, Gioia is an excellent host - she was super responsive from booking and throughout our entire stay. We had almost no issues but anything that came up she dealt with immediately. Irina cleans the house and was also available. Stunning views + easy access to swimming + lots of space for large groups + walk to town + great host = this place.

Summary: We can 100% recommend Villa Conchiglia as a great place for family vacation. We spent there one week with the whole family from age 14 to 78 years. This place meets all different needs of all generations such as outdoor ping pong, canoeing, snorkelling or just relaxing at one of the terraces or at the beach at walking distance. The house is well equipped and tastefully furbished in mediterranean style. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals for a group including dishwasher and two large fridges. We really enjoyed our dinners with barbecue watching the breathtaking sunset over the sea. Gioia is a very charming and caring person who gives a lot of recommendations for activities or restaurants. Summary: We had a great experience since both the place and the service were amazing. The landlord has been always available supporting us from the very beginning of the booking process, advising on several activities to do to secure a great staying. She was there when we arrived welcoming us and securing a light dinner for us and the children. We met again the day after our arrival where she gave us a lot of tips on restaurants and beaches to visits and things to do. She has been always available when we had questions or there when we need local support. There are many services you can access. We found that the most valuable ones were the chef at home or have someone who can go out for groceries. The house is location is astonishing. Sometime, early in the morning or very late in the afternoon, looking at the seagulls flying close to the hills towards the sunset, I just held my breath to capture the beauty of the moments. The house building is good, many sleeping rooms (perfect for families with children or close friends) and many bathrooms. The kitchen is full furbished (including a dishwasher). The garden is very well maintained and there are plenty of sun-chairs. However the very peculiar thing of this house is the own access to the sea very comfortable and sheltering. I would definitely recommend this house to families with children or groups of close friends.

Summary: Villa Conchiglia is a beautiful, warm and comfortable family home perched above the sea. The beds, linens, bathrooms, outdoor furnishings, fully-stocked kitchen, internet, and many comfortable seating areas are all of highest quality. The property features private parking, outdoor ping pong and, best of all, steps down to the gorgeous cove for a swim or kayak. Easiest access by foot to and from town and beaches. Immediately responsive owners. Excellent housekeeping services are an available option. We loved every minute.

Summary: Do book this superb villa if you can - best location on Elba and you won't want to move! We visited Marciana Marina 10 mins away, went up the mountain on fun cable cars and the rest of the time we were near the house. Kayaks, amazing views, private access to clear waters sea, excellent facilities at this 30 years' family owned house. Don't hesitate! Gioia is very friendly and helpful and can't do enough for you.

Summary: We were 3 families, age 7 to 56, who stayed for one week in this house on Elba. The pictures do not make the house justice - the house and the setting is really really great. The layout of the house is very practical. Several bathrooms and furthermore two outdoor showers. The kitchen worked nicely for our group of ten people. The house and garden is cool and tasteful in a relaxed way that makes you feel comfortable. Beautiful sunsets from the terrace and lots of outdoors space with sofas and sunchairs. The most outstanding feature is the little path/stairs to the sea directly from the house. Although you have to pass a few meters of stones and rocks to get to the sandy seabed, we preferred this to the two otherwise excellent public beaches within 5 min. walking distance. You also have two kayaks at your disposal. Within 1 km there was a good bakery, ice-cream bar and several beach restaurants. All in all we really enjoyed the days in the house, the sea (snorkeling, bathing, kayaking, inspiring nature and places to explore and lots of relaxing). Gioia is very helpful and caring - she wants you to have the best possible holiday, and we did!!

Summary: Superb location with a panoramic view over the sea. On walking distance to the village. Large terasses, suited for dining with 12 persons outside. Quit location. Some good bedrooms for adults, some more suitable for kids. Very good showers inside and outside witrh cold and warm water.

Summary: We were looking for the perfect mediterranean villa right on the sea and we found it here. The house is very special, full of style and charm with wonderful proportions and an unbeatable view. Gioia our host went out of her way to make us feel truly welcome in her home and gave us lots of really helpful information about Elba including the best restaurants (which she kindly booked for us), beaches and places to visit. The magnificent terrace where we could hang out, eat and soak up the view was fantastic, the rooms inside were large bright and very well furnished and beautifully decorated in a simple modern mediterranean style with some very fine retro furniture. The house is very well equipped with everything you need for relaxing and entertaining. Outside the owners have made the most of the sloping gardens, creating a series of terraces beautifully stocked with mediterranean plants with a path leading down directly to the sea. Several seating areas and a table tennis arena all overlook the beautiful bay with its turquoise water and sandy beach, an absolute joy for our three kids. There is a very special little spot to sit right on the water and you feel very lucky indeed to be staying in one of the best located houses on the island.
