The space
'ONE MILE RETREAT' is located within the One Mile Ridge gated estate, with access to the shared infinity edge pool and spa.
Surrounded by Tomaree National Park it has spectacular views over One Mile and Samurai beaches. Stroll to the patrolled One Mile Beach for a morning surf via the short bush track leading to directly to .One Mile Beach.
Relax in the shared infinity pool and spa (shared with the other properties in the estate) located just a minute's walk from the beach house.
The house has been cleverly designed to maximise all the advantages of it's elevated site, with floor to ceiling windows to celebrate the views.
The interior is relaxed and flows over two levels, each with its own bathrooms, the living area being on the top floor. You can all join together around the dining table on the top level for family meals prepared on the huge marble benches in the kitchen.
The Bedroooms:
Two of the three wonderful bedrooms overlook the coastline to Fingal Lighthouse. All bed and bathroom linen is provided.
Main Bedroom - Queen bed and ensuite
Second bedroom - ground floor with Queen bed and sliding door opening to terrace with ocean views
Third bedroom - ground floor with one Tri-bunk - double bed below and single above. Sliding door to terrace with ocean views (NB photos of the third bedroom are currently not showing the new tri-bunk arrangement - we are awaiting new photos)
We provide:

Prime Location:
o Exclusive One Mile Ridge Gated Security Estate, with caretaker onsite.
o A sort from the beach through the national park and close to local attractions, dining, and endless coastal activities.
House Rules/Additional Info:
• The nightly rate covers accommodation for up to 6 guests. The property has a strict maximum occupancy of 7 guests. We do not accommodate more than this under any circumstances. However, if additional guests stay without prior approval, a further charge of $50 per person, per night will apply. Please ensure the correct number of guests is included in your booking to avoid these charges.
IMPORTANT
Before you arrive you will be asked to:
1. Complete guest verification through third-party provider Superhog. This is done to ensure we are keeping up-to-date with short-term rental regulations as well as providing both our guests and our properties with extra protection. Superhog will contact you via email and/or text to complete the verification.
2. Choose between a refundable deposit of $500 (plus admin fee $15) or a non-refundable damage waiver of $50.
3. Sign our rental agreement
THINGS TO NOTE:
Please note that for the comfort of all guests and neighbours, we have installed a 'Minut' noise monitoring device in the home, which helps us maintain a peaceful environment by alerting us to noise levels, guest count, and cigarette smoke. We kindly ask all guests to be considerate of our quiet hours and house rules.
One Mile Retreat is located in a residential complex (not a resort) and, as such, our guests must abide the body corporate by-laws, in particular quiet times.

Summary: I spent 3 days there with my wife. We had a good time but the property clearly needs some maintenance/renovations. There's nothing luxurious about it. The fitout is old and needs repairs throughout. The property is also not a villa, it's a unit/townhouse within a 28 units complex. The ad leads you to believe it has a private pool and spa when in fact it's part of the common property and shared among all units. It does have gorgeous views and is well located but don't expect much more than that. Pros: -nice views -good location Cons: -not at all luxurious as advertised -pool/spa is not private, quite the opposite -Bbq doesn't work/broken -nespresso machine leaks water -overall old and damaged fitout -full of mosquitoes inside the house when we arrived. I had to kill them all and ask the caretaker to clean the house because the dead bodies were literally everywhere -towels provided will turn your skin black, particularly hands and under the nails, which is very disappointing after showering -the drains in one of the bathrooms started smelling real bad after the first day

Summary: Enjoyed our stay. Everything you need is provided, though property is looking a bit tired overall, photos may need updating. The issue with property entry fobs is a security risk - garage was opening by itself at times when other residents were coming and going . Short walk through bush to the beach is nice. Overall comfortable stay. and excellent check-in process by caretaker. Would consider staying here again.

Summary: What an amazing little piece of paradise! We stayed at the house for 2 nights and had the most delightful time. Seamless check in process, with Zac being available for anything we needed. The house was very clean and spacious. It had lots of areas to escape from the family and have time to yourself. Views from the property were out of this world and it was a great location! We will be back ❤️
