Positive: The hotel was a solid choice for a one-night stay. The location was convenient (everything was walking distance with convenient store next to it) and made getting around easy, which was a big plus. The room had everything we needed and was comfortable enough for a short stay. The only downside was the mattress, which could use an upgrade for better comfort. Overall, a decent stay that works well if you’re just passing through.

Negative: The mattress was a little uncomfortable compared to other places we have stayed but it’s still nice for one night stay.

Summary: A conveniently located, a charming and decent option for a short stay.

Positive: Location was great and was central to a lot of towns around Baddeck.

Negative: Breakfast one morning took over half an hour and sometimes they were out of ingredients for breakfast items.

Positive: Good location, amenities such as a nice bar.

Negative: My room was in the area of a large fridge, apparently producing tons of ice cubes for the bar late into the night. The fridge’s engine is like a big turbine. So I didn’t really sleep well. Maybe it’s the case for just a couple of rooms, but, tough, I was in one of them at full price.

Positive: Location was pretty central in the town, and was an easy stopover night for those doing the Cabot Trail. Staff was friendly and provided recommendations in the area. Room was cozy and clean. Definitely more of an inn than a hotel.
