Positive: Everything about the flat was lovely. Clean. Well furnished. Kitchen well stocked. Excellent situation in the middle of town. Hosts were very welcoming, leaving milk and juice in the fridge and welcome gifts from local providers.
Negative: Nothing could have been better

Positive: Very central location with no problem to park. Proximity of a good selection of shops and restaurants. Rooms were a good size - ideal for a couple. Everything was very clean, and the host seemed to have thought of everything for the comfort of their guests, providing good quality shower gel, shampoo etc. There was plenty of hot water and the shower was excellent.
Negative: We did find the electric hob rather difficult to use, but that may be due to our inexperience.
Summary: A comfortable and enjoyable stay in a great central location in a pretty Scottish Borders town.

Negative: 2 minor faults in bathroom , toilet brush needed replaced and towel rail away from wall . Linda said they would be put right so that was ok .
Summary: Enjoyable break after months of health problems. We would like to go back to Mabel’s View and stay for longer .

Positive: brilliant location with lovely view. chose it for access to walks. Melrose would be very busy at the height of the season but good choice of pubs(choice of real ales) and cafes for eating out, also local grocer, baker, convenience store and well stocked larger Coop store. good bus service to neighbouring towns and villages

Positive: Location, location, location. You could not find a better spot for ease to all Melrose and the Borders has to offer. Walking distance to everything you'll need.
Negative: Lovely place, It's a wee bit small, but very cosy, it's all you need.
Summary: Enjoyed Mabels View immensely - Would rent again and again.
