Negative: Obtains key on arrival - minimal instructions. Hard to find. Door to toilette did not open properly. No aircon Washing machine - was told not a dryer but it was.

Positive: The location — absolutely the best in Paris. Close to everything and very convenient for exploring the city.
Negative: The check-in experience with CheckMyGuest was extremely frustrating. They told me I could leave the luggage at a certain address starting at 9 AM, but when I arrived at 9:15 with my kids and all our bags, the place was completely closed. I only got a reply at 10 AM saying they opened later because of the July 14th holiday — something they hadn’t told me in advance. Later, they gave me a locker code that didn’t work. I had to go there again with the kids and luggage, and it was very hard to find. I called and got a second code — also wrong. Then they told me the key was under the mat at the apartment, but I couldn’t enter the building because I had no access code. After calling again, they gave me two more building codes — neither worked. A kind neighbor eventually let me in. When I finally entered the apartment, there was a man inside who didn’t speak English and couldn’t explain what he was doing. He said he was fixing a curtain. Also, the trash bin was broken, and the bathroom door didn’t close properly — it seemed swollen from humidity and needs maintenance. The fridge is a minibar, which feels too small for six people, and there’s no microwave — which would have been really useful during our stay.

Negative: Had to get the keys from a lockbox located in a shop where no one knew they had it. Staff were completely unresponsive to our request for linen. Staff did not know the property and kept making up excuses: - the fan in the receiving room (that has a Murphy bed) was not a fan.- reality was that they didn't know where the control was. My son found it BEHIND the murphy bed. - The place was unreasonably hot. Yes there was a heat warning, but if the AUTHORITIES are issuing a warning about the heat, Isn't that a sign that they need to do something? A portable AC would have been most indicated, and at prices under €200 for the AC, compared to the total price of the rental (over 6 Thousand dollars), there is NO EXCUSE to not send someone and set it up. Yes, it was an extraordinary event, but it was an official weather emergency. That triggered all the emergency services of the City into Red Alert. - The place is also noisy. And it did not help that we needed to keep the windows wide open for the heat. - Check out instructions were unapplicable: the store where we got the keys from was closed when we needed to check out, they suggested "hiding the key under the welcome mat" ; there was NO welcome mat. In brief: a location operated "remote" by people without the proper training, knowledge and kindness.

Positive: stunning modern apartment, great location, metro very close by , lovely area with cafes and restaurants literally on the corner. very safe area. lovely to have the space to come back to after a busy day playing tourist in Paris.Host very responsive to all messages and very easy to deal with.
