Villa in Kalkan, Mediterranean Region, Turkey - Set In A Peaceful Location Overlooking Kalamar Bay, 3 Minutes Walk To The Sea. Villa Dilara is a luxurious and generously proportioned detached private villa, ideally positioned with stunning uninterrupted views over the waters of Kalamar Bay. The villa is in a private location and is not overlooked. The huge terrace with its magnificent (heated) infinity pool and shaded gardens make this a villa where you can relax in peaceful surroundings and soak up the sun.
The main terrace or the more private roof terrace are both ideal for an evening 'sundowner' while watching the magnificent sunset over the bay. Spacious open plan living area, five large airy bedrooms all with fabulous views. Beautiful bespoke fittings and furnishings.
There is a large games room, under the pool, with table tennis, full size pool table, Nintendo Wii, DVD and 42" LCD TV and comfortable sofas.
Next to the Games Room, is a luxury boutique spa with a 4 person jacuzzi, a walk in power shower and a heated hamman platform. You can enjoy an evening of relaxation with a glass of bubbles in the jacuzzi and soak away the stress.
This is a villa where you can enjoy a fabulous holiday with complete privacy, yet close to all of the amenities of both Kalkan village and Kalamar Bay. Cool travertine and granite, luxurious furniture, plasma television, DVD, internet access and fully equipped kitchen make this villa a fabulous fusion of Mediterranean calm and contemporary style.
It is just 300 metres to Kalamar Bay Beach Club. The beach club offers diving, jet skis, water skiing, pedalos and canoes. There is a great cafe with service to your sunbed. It is approximately a 20 minute walk to the main Kalkan beach to which local bus (dolmus) runs every half an hour. The famous Patara beach is 4 kilometres away (local buses every hour) with 18 km of sparkling sand or in the other direction is Kaputas Beach with approx 150 steps to a beautiful sandy cove.
Travel:
The nearest airport to Kalkan is Dalaman with approximately a 1.5 hour journey. Antalya also has a main airport, often used during the winter months, this is approximately 2.5 hours from Kalkan. We are happy to arrange your transfer from either airport or private car hire. There are many taxis in Kalkan for either short distances or for day hire to places of interest.
Distances:
The closest beach/sea is a 3 minute walk from the villa. The main Kalkan beach is approximately a 20 minute walk (buses available) The centre of Kalkan is approximately 5 minutes away if travelling by car or taxi. A 15 minute drive will take you to either Patara or Kaputas Beach. Fethiye the closest large town is approximately an hour away by car or bus, and Kas a lovely small harbour town is about 25 minutes away. There are many historical sites in the area all within a short drive

There are several banks all offering ATM facilities. There are also many businesses offering exchange facilities with excellent rates. Credit cards and sterling are also happily accepted. There are 2 small supermarkets within easy walk of the villa and several small restaurants and bars which offer excellent value. The supermarkets also offer a delivery service. Kalkan is a sophisticated resort with a myriad of restaurants, many of them rooftop with marvellous views of the sea and the harbour. This area of Turkey is full of archaeological sites and places of outstanding beauty all within easy reach of Kalkan
Eren Dag ski resort is now up and running in Seki which means that Kalkan is an ideal base for a skiing break in winter. The resort is close to Fethiye, around an hours drive from kalkan, and offers great skiing with very cheap ski hire and lift passes. A number of restaurants remain open in Kalkan over the winter.

Summary: Had a great holiday in villa (5 ladies annual trip). This is the second time i have stayed in villa and first time for other ladies. Great location to bars and restaurants in Kalamar and supermarkets (5 min walk). Kalkan Town 20 minute downhill walk or Taxi only £3.50 each way. Swimming pool and terrace perfect for a lovely relaxing holiday. Villa has everything you need for a great holiday

Summary: The Villa certainly lived up to our expectations, it’s amazing! I would highly recommend the Villa for large families or groups of friends. There is loads of space on the patio area by the pool. The views from the roof terrace are amazing. It was great having sundowners from there. Deniz met us on arrival and was always able to help when needed. The location was central for Shopping and eating out locally. I certainly enjoyed starting my 60th birthday celebrations at Villa Dilara. Thank you Felix!

Summary: Firstly Kalkan is beautiful. But it is VERY hilly. I wouldn’t want to be pushing a push chair around or have little kids at a lot of the villas. However, villa dilara was so close to lots of brill bars and restaurants (5 min walk even for little legs) and a supermarket that didn’t require any climbing at all… so perfect if you have kiddies. The villa itself was a really good size. Massive rooms and massive comfy beds. Wi-Fi was great in the main rooms and main bedrooms but none on the top floor or roof terrace unfortunately. That actually benefited us as we had younger kids upstairs… so they weren’t tempted online at early hours!!! We did feel the villa needed some TLC but it didn’t spoil the holiday. We spent a lot of time at beach clubs in and around Kalkan which were amazing… especially Zest. Kalkan Town is buzzing and is a short taxi drive away (really easy and cheap to get cabs) The addition of a little local tariff mobile phone at the villa was really appreciated to book cabs and restaurants. We also really loved the addition of the Wii… family mario kart competitions were had!! Great communication from Felix throughout… and flexibility when Covid got in the way!!! Thank you Felix… We loved Kalkan and will be back:-)

Summary: Villa was an excellent size for our party of 9. Area of villa is a bit crowded with other villas pretty close ,and some more being build right in front villa. You need to get taxis into town, but plenty of restaurants and small supermarkets nearby. Villa has plenty of facilities to entertain children . Showers in bathrooms need updating, and a link of paint needed to freshen up rooms especially in annexe down stairs. If you are looking for a chilled out break with facilities nearby it is ideal.

Summary: Having never been to Turkey let alone Kalkan, we were taking a punt on staying in Villa Dilara for a month! As it turned out, we couldn’t have made a better choice. The villa was perfect for the needs of my young family and guests we had visit during our stay. The accommodation is spacious, clean and well equipped. The villa is maintained to a higher standard and any minor issues or requirements you may have are dealt with promptly by the excellent maintenance team. The location is good with some great restaurants close by as well as a beach club a short distance away. The walk to town centre is about 15-20mins (carrying babies/small children) but the taxi’s are cheap and readily available. Kalkan itself has the most genuinely friendly people I have ever met. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and can see why so many people return year after year.

Summary: We have just returned from a fabulous holiday in Kalkan and found Villa Dilara to be a wonderful place to stay. Felix made the whole booking procedure very easy and was extremely helpful with resort information and also arranged our private taxi transfer. The villa is of a very high standard and was very clean. The master bedroom was vast in size, with an enourmous comfortable bed and this and the other double on the first floor share a spacious balcony with breathtaking views over Kalamar bay, great for having a coffee in the morning. The children loved the games room, which was great when they wanted some chill time, out of the sun. The outside area is lovely, with plenty of loungers and the pool was kept immaculately clean throughout our stay. The villa was in a great location and the Beach club was less than a 10 minute walk down the hill. The whole family loved it down there as there is something for everyone, watersports, sea trampoline, pedloes, kayaks and a nice restaurant with drinks service to your sun lounger. They even give you a lift home at the end of the day, if you don't fancy the walk back up the very steep hill. There are 3 small supermarkets within a short walk and we found the Can Can to be the best stocked. They offer a delivery service which is brilliant when you have alot of heavy bags to carry back in the heat. The town and harbour are also within walking distance and I would say it takes about 20 to 25 minutes at a leisurely pace, although if you prefer to get a taxi, these are very cheap and you can ring for one easily and never have to wait long. There are some superb restaurants, our favourites were Baharat in the town and Gusto at the harbour. If you fancy staying closer to home, there are also restaurants only a couple of minutes walk from the villa. The House restaurant is only about 100 yards and is particularly good. We also got takeaway from here one evening after we'd had a busy day out on a trip, which was great. If you fancy some trips out, I would definitely recommend booking through Yasin at Volume Travel. He is the most friendly and helpful guy and nothing was too much trouble for him. Overall Villa Dilara is fabulous place to stay and we will certainly look at returning when we next visit Kalkan.
