Positive: What a hidden gem, beautiful place, quiet, and lovingly renovated. Easy walking distance to the Cathedral and the centre of town, private courtyard parking a plus. We had the Garden Suite, stunning, great shower, small kitchen and views of the fabulous garden. Check in instructions perfect, easy to access and thanks also for the recommendations. We will be back!

Negative: That we were only staying one night! One thing to bear in mind is the access to the courtyard if you are bringing a vehicle, Chartres is old and streets are narrow. Our VW Transporter was ok, anything bigger would probably be a challenge. Not a negative but something to be aware of.

Positive: Oh my God, this is such a lovely place to stay. For us it was a perfect place to begin our stay in Europe and begin adjusting to the time change (9 hours for us). The property is every bit as lovely as described, very clean and comfortable, in a very old house that has been beautifully updated. The cathedral is a very short walk from the house, as are plenty of good restaurants. Marthe, the manager of the property, was delightful, helpful and cheerful.

Positive: Beautiful property a short walking distance from the Chartres cathedral. We absolutely loved everything about it except finding it. Unfortunately we didn’t realize there were two entrances to the gated neighborhood and got tangled up in some very narrow one way streets. Once we figured things out it was perfect! Wish we could have stayed longer.

Positive: Beautiful property. Comfortable beds. Spacious with lovely grounds we didn’t even get to enjoy. Terrific amenities, especially the breakfast. Would choose to stay longer if we could.

Negative: Had some difficulty finding the property because we came in the wrong entrance. We followed google maps and they took us to a different entrance and we got tangled up in the narrow one way streets. They did tell us the right entrance. I couldn’t find the email with the specifics…

Summary: Fabulous apartment in a wonderful building perfectly situated for a visit to Chartres Cathedral.
