Positive: Beautiful location and it felt like we were experiencing the real Douz. Tucked away in the middle of the of a palm grove outside of the city, surrounded by farms and dunes just down the road. The staff/owners were great communicators and we loved how helpful they were throughout our stay. The dinner upon arrival and the daily breakfast were a treat!

Negative: The bed was pretty hard for my old body, but we just accepted it as part of the experience and didn’t let it detract from our rating of this place.

Summary: Great for families with kids and those looking for a more authentic experience.

Positive: The breakfast was basic but good. Freshly made warm bread is hard to beat. The room was spacious and fine. The host was friendly and helpful.

Negative: I don't think the towels were cleaned between guests. I'm not sure and I could be wrong. There was also sand on the sheets so we all slept on top of the blankets. We went on a one-night camping trip with camels. The trips was no-frills but was what we wanted. No fancy tents and no music around a fire but we got to spend the night under the stars and beside the camels. I'm glad we did the camels (our teenagers even enjoyed it!) and got sand between our toes!
