Positive: Beautiful apartment with great balconies all round the building. Lovely views of the mountains and only a 15 minute walk from the lake. All very clean and equipped with everything you’ll need. Free buses into central Annecy are available right outside the door. Otherwise it’s a flat 30 minute walk, either along the lakeside (which we were very happy to do several times) or on the roadside which enabled us to walk via some great supermarkets and shops. Annecy offers so much in terms of cycling (flat and / or mountainous, take your choice), walking, sailing (sail or motor), swimming etc. in gorgeous scenery. Lovely restaurants and shops.
Negative: We were surprised to find that we had to: * pay a €300 deposit on arrivals day. As at June 24 it was in the original advert but under a Covid 19 heading so it still came as a surprise. * strip the bedding on departure day (I often do this anyhow but have never been asked before and we stay in properties like this a lot). * take and send photos of the rooms on departure. * be told that our rooms will be ‘inspected’ after our departure. Access is advertised as being available at 5pm. At 9.19am of arrivals days we requested access between 4-5pm because of the heavy rain forecast but that wasn’t acknowledged or enabled. We were given access at about 5.30pm by a welcoming Thibault.

Positive: We were greeted by Thiabult, our host who kindly showed us around. The property is in a great location not far from Lake Annecy, and only a short distance from old town Annecy. A big bonus was the free bus which stopped right outside the apartment. We loved sitting on the balcony looking at the mountain. We self catered a lot. The property had everything we needed to do this. It is walking distance to a supermarket. The property is modern and clean. Plenty of space for four adults.
Summary: We loved being at Annecy, so much to see and do. We visited nearby cities, swam in the lake, enjoyed old town Annecy and
