Positive: Since we arrived at Mara Intrepids, they welcomed us like royalty. Our assigned driver was Paul who took care of all our Safaris, every day and every daily route was geared towards showing us the best of Masai Mara, he is definitely responsible for half of all our amazing experiences. He was in charge of contacting us with the Ballon Safari, an experience that I recommend not to be missed and take us to visit the Masai Mara Village. Upon arriving at the Camps, Debbie, Queen and Daysi welcomed us, with exquisite hot towels for our hands and an exquisite juice, offering and demonstrating to us in spades during our stay that they would be there for everything we needed and that was the case. Our room was taken care of by Leah, who every day dedicatedly prepared our room, closed our musketeers, set out hot water bottles and brought hot chocolate or coffee for us before our first daily game drive around 6 am. After returning from our Safaris, delicious food awaited us in the restaurant where Shillaw and Masila were in charge of serving us, knowing our tastes and often anticipating our requirements, they consented our son with all his tastes. I just want to say, if you want to know Masai Mara, the place is Mara Intrepids. It is worth every penny and despite being as generous as we could with our tips, it will never be enough to compensate for the attention. Asanté!!
Negative: Nothing! Everything was perfect.
Summary: The perfect place to get to know Masai Mara

Positive: We very much enjoyed the site, the staff and the safaris' guide.
Negative: We arrived a Saturday afternoon by normal car and were stopped at the entrance of Masai Mara because we were not travelling with 4 wheel drive (this was not indicated on Booking.com). We tried to contact the lodge to come and pîck up us at the entrance but nobody replied (we tried 3 different numbers) while we had confirmed that same morning of our late arrival. Finally we had to hire a Masai to drive us to the lodge. It costed us 8000 ksh and we were feeling very unsecured because we did not know the driver and it was getting dark. Fortunately, we arrived safely. At the reception, we were told that the numbers available on Booking.com were from Nairobi office, which is closed on Saturday afternoon and Sunday. We found this explanation unacceptable as the minimum would have been to provide the number of the lodge when the central office is closed. As compensation, we got reimbursed of some of our drinks but not of the full amount of the taxi and not for the inconvenience created. Pity for such a nice place !
Summary: As soon as we got to the lodge, the stay was great but the stress to arrive was terrible.

Positive: The staff are welcoming. The facilities are beautiful and well maintained. Our guide was knowledgeable and we saw an incredible range of wildlife. The tents are very comfortable and all meals were lovely. Although it is nice to take the breakfast and eat while on safari, eating breakfast at the camp is nicer.
Summary: Wonderful staff. Informative 7 pm talks around the fire pit about culture, birds and traditions

Positive: A breathtaking experience. The resort is beautiful, the staff fantastic and the safari drives were astonishing. Our guide Joab was the best. We saw all that the Mara had to offer, extraordinary close ups with leopards, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, elephants and countless others. Highly recommended.
Summary: A fantastic safari trip.

Positive: This is a well sited a superbly maintained safari camp close to the airstrip and beside a river. The tented facilities are comfortable and spacious and sufficiently dispersed to ensure privacy. The staff are, without exception, polite efficient and very helpful and the safari drives were extremely interesting and fruitful guided as they were by excellent drivers who know the area like the back of their hand. I must also commend the catering which was superb. To produce a delicious 5 course lunch and 6 course dinner in the middle of the Masai Mara takes exceptional skill!
Negative: Nothing, I wouldn’t change a thing!
Summary: An excellent way to experience the Masai Mara and all its wildlife.
