Positive: We loved our stay and really liked the setting, the quiet, calm surroundings, the pool, breakfast and the restaurant nearby. Valerie was delightful, so attentive, friendly and helpful. She had thought of everything in terms of beach bags in the rooms, hats by the pool and gave us great advice on where to eat in Avignon and talked us through all the breakfast options including fresh pain au chocolat and croissants and her home made pear and apple juice which were delicious! a wonderful relaxing stay which was just what we were looking for. We slept so well in a large, quiet room with a really comfortable bed. The restaurant nearby was excellent and perfect for dinner or drinks. Highly recommend.
Negative: Only a few points. I do not like soap so it would have been good to have some handwash in the bedroom as another option. Also the hooks on the wall were very near the wardrobe door so I knocked my head on them several times when opening the wardrobe, so it would probably be better the hooks are located somewhere else in the room! the curtains did not shut out all the light so I would recommend external shutters for complete black out in the room at night.
Summary: A wonderful peaceful stay at this hotel, would highly recommend

Positive: We booked our arrival one day earlier. We actually preferred the room we were in first. The grounds were heavenly. Lived the restaurant and the African decor pieces from her travels!
Negative: The second night we were upgraded to a two bedroom apartment. As it turned out we didn’t need the extra space. Plus our first room had a much better view of the grounds.
Summary: I would stay here again and would highly recommend it.

Positive: Great setting and vibe. Peaceful, interesting, inviting venue. Lovingly attended to. Wonderful to be able to pick pears out of the orchard. Apartment was spacious and beautifully decorated. Lots of attention to detail. Dinner venue was an unexpected bonus, a real treat!
Negative: Nothing at all, everything was perfect, thanks.

Positive: Perfect place to stay, very relaxing atmosphere in the beatiful gardens. Our host Valerie was most friendly, even when we arrived very early in the morning (as we had discussed prior to our arrival), it was no problem at all for her to welcome us to our family room. The room was beautiful and spacious. Breakfast was also very good, including freshly made Bread and croissants and lots of delicious homemade jam and juices. The city of Avignon was about ten minutes drive away. We parked on the isle side, and too the free ferry to the city. Our kids loves the ferry ride!

Positive: The natural surroundings of Mas de Capelou are beautiful, and the well-equipped kitchen made it feel just like home. It’s a place I’d love to return to when staying in Avignon.
Negative: Some of the furniture feels outdated, and the sofa was a bit uncomfortable—updating the furnishings would greatly improve the experience. Also, the on-site restaurant may not be the best choice if you’re looking for a traditional French dinner.
