Positive: quiet and charming. Off spray was available but the mosquitos were not bad. The pool area was small but peaceful. The air conditioning worked well.

Negative: the included breakfast was poor. I expected more fresh fruit/juice but it was more like a motel continental breakfast. The coffee was decent. There was also constant music playing. It was calm music but I thought took away from the natural sounds of the area. Rooms were very small.

Summary: Not bad. Would stay again. Comfortable and quaint

Positive: We look for less noise and few people; this place offers that. There is sunscreen and aloe vera available for everyone in the kitchen area.

Negative: The rooms are containers converted into rooms which do not have much room to move or store one staff. The shower stall is not leveled so we had to push the water towards the drain. There is always water on the front door.

Positive: Nice location close to the Kiosks and in the middle of nature. Nice pool area.

Negative: Breakfast was a little basic. Room was quite small, the suitcase we brought could barely be opened in there. They did not offer a cleaning service during our stay and we had visited the rainforest, so the room was dirty.

Summary: Good for a short stay with little luggage

Positive: The grounds are beautiful and it really feels like a local experience. Very well kept. It was nice to be by the pool in the afternoons after a day of hiking in El Yunque. Very close to the park entrance and a very short drive to restaurants in Luquillo. Location was great. It also felt safe because of the gate.

Negative: The rooms are VERY small. I stayed with my best friend (traveling from The Netherlands) and we had 1 suitcase which had to be on the floor and then the room was completely full. Had to take turns walking around the bed. Room 7 had a milk glass door with no curtains and the lights in the night were so bright it was difficult sleeping (they had 2 masks in the room but sleeping for 3 nights with a mask wasn’t great for us). There are some things for breakfast in the breakfast room, but it is indeed very basic. Maybe it’s ok for 1 morning but not really for 3. Would have liked maybe a fridge with some yoghurts or milk to make cereal or oatmeal.

Summary: Beautifully grounds, but very small room for the price point.
