Positive: Not over priced and comfortable. Great to disconnect from all the stresses of life. The location forces you to relax.
Negative: Not much to dislike. Simple but comfortable. We were told there would be improvements and renovations around the property next year.
Summary: Great trip away. Exactly what was needed to recharge the battery. Nice and relaxing.

Positive: It is located on a small Island and rooms and bures are two steps away from a very beautiful and enjoyable beach. They also have a tennis court
Negative: Food is good, they are also aware of allergies and gluten free intolerance, however the Chef never respects what you ask for or the list of ingredients on the menu. You ask for two omelets one with ham one without ham, you get both with ham. Menu says Beef Steak with Mushrooms, you get beef steak and vegetables but no mushrooms Menu says Yogurt with pineapple, toasted granola and shaved coconut, you get yogurt and oat flakes, no pineapple and no coconut. This was frustrating most of the time

Overall, Matamanoa is a beautiful place with genuinely kind people, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful island escape.
Negative: The main area for improvement is the dining experience. With only one restaurant available in the island, meal options are quite limited, and the overall quality of the food did not meet expectations of a 4 star hotel. The wine felt significantly overpriced. Enhancing the variety, quality, and value of the meals would really elevate the overall guest experience and bring it in line with the exceptional beauty of the island and the warmth of the staff.
