Positive: The accommodation was exactly as advertised. Small, but cosy, with everything we needed. Private parking off-road, closed in with an automatic gate. The outdoor facilities are excellent, although we couldn't use them to full advantage, as the weather was unseasonably cool (Even so, we couldn't resist having a quick dip in the swimming pool before running straight indoors to thaw out in a lovely hot shower). The host, Dª Rosa, was extremely helpful and friendly - but without intruding. On arrival there was a bottle of wine and water waiting for us, as well as a bowl of fresh fruit and a selection of home-made jams. On the second morning she appeared with a bowl of freshly picked strawberries from her garden and a freshly baked home-made cake. 2-3 km down the road (on the N17) in Mucelão we found the Restaurante "O Cantinho", which serves very reasonably priced lunches. Each day they have a different typical Portuguese dish (one fish dish, one meat dish - that's it). It caters for local working people, so portions are large. If you want to sample genuine traditional Portuguese cooking, this is the place.
Negative: The only thing missing was a tea-pot!

Positive: We stayed in this house for one day, but we had a wonderful holiday. Apartment was very clean and cozy, we were delighted with the delicious compliment from the owners. Courtyard of the house is the best place for holiday with pool, grill and dining area, beautiful garden with kids zone. We will definitely come again, thank you for the hospitality!

Negative: The entrance to the property was very narrow and the courtyard had a couple of stone pots which didn't help parking

Positive: House and territory is nice, hosts presented us some wine and cake.
Negative: Hosts live on the territory, there are 2 houses and they rent out the small one, there is no indication at all that there is one more house on the territory, so that’s a lie. Please bear in mind that the territory isn’t private. Overall the hosts didn’t disturb us, though we felt a bit constrained and confused because we thought we thought it will be 100% private. 2 sockets in the bedroom near bed don’t work.

Positive: Our host welcomed us with a nice array of jams, fruit, and a bottle of wine. The property is absolutely perfect. It was tastefully decorated, comfortable, and very clean. We were welcomed to use their common areas, which was nice when we decided to have a down day from exploring. We would highly recommend this place to couples or families with young children. It is well located for those people that want to explore Coimbra and Piodao and have a car. It is located in a very friendly and safe village. What really makes it is how friendly and helpful the owner is.
