Positive: The property is very quiet at night. Owners are exceptional and didn't realize the owner also works as local tour guide and can either help setup a tour or give inside information on places to visit. They were extremely helpful in turning our half planned vacation into something that was very unique even at last minute. We highly recommend. After leaving the area I'm surprised that more people do not visit. The nights are cool and weather is amazing.

Positive: Irwan and Ernesta were amazing hosts. We chose to travel to Ruteng to get in touch with locals and they completly integrated us in their community. We enjoyed the talks, the food, the little trips and connected on a deeper level, while still having all the privacy we needed. The family and the community are super welcoming. In short time we learned a lot about the indonesian culture in Ruteng. And we got served home-made coffee from their garden, which tasted amazing. Tipp: Irwan also is an highly experienced tour guide all accross Flores so we recomment getting in touch with him beforehand to plan some hiking tours with him! Thanks for everything, these experiences will last! Hope to see you again 🤞

Positive: Just stay here!! The family is super kind, speak excellent English and the wife is a great cook. She can make dinner at request and you get to eat with the family. The room itself is basic like the rest of Flores but you get hot water and the bed is comfortable. The family help with organising transport, tops for the area etc

Positive: Very friendly family who looked after us extremely well. They cooked evening meals as well as breakfast (R40,000 each for evening meal), organised trips for us and also the onward bus journeys. Erwan was full of knowledge about the Mangarai and their customs. It was a fabulous stay.

Positive: I had a really nice stay and I highly recommend it. Irwan, Ernesta and their 2 children were very welcoming, caring and always there if we had any questions. The room was spacious and clean. Irwan is a tour guide so he was able to give us some advice about what to visit in the area and he also showed us around the spiderweb rice fields. The location was appreciable because it is next to the rice fields. Really good breakfast and dinner if you want to share it with them! All in all it was a great experience to share these 2 days with them
