Summary: We felt right at home here. We enjoyed walking to the beach and restaurants and waking up to the garden views each morning. Close to everything, yet its own little world.

Summary: Great cottage in a great location. Very clean although it does show its age in the kitchen and bathroom. Very well equipped and perfect location to beach and shops but also tucked away in a peaceful spot.

Summary: My friend and I stayed here for a week and really enjoyed it. The house has great amenities (laundry, iron, coffee maker, blender, toaster, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, and beach chairs) and is tucked away off the main road. Check-in instructions were comprehensive and easy to follow. There are lots of great food options within walking distance, including malasadas and loco moco! I highly recommend this place - it’s in a great location for exploring all parts of the island. I’d definitely come back here :)

Summary: Authentically decorated with Hawaiian touches throughout. Had air conditioning which was needed. Quick 5 minute walk to either the shopping center or the beach. Overall was pretty good considering not on the beach & no pool

Summary: This little yellow cottage with the bamboo theme was a perfect home away from home for two couples. Beds were super comfy and extra blankets came in handy in the window seat. The hot high pressure shower was awesome. Neat backyard and tiki hut were an added bonus. Easy walk to the beach on the path. The cottage was stocked with extras which was really helpful. Very accessible to restaurants and groceries. A good home base for exploring the rest of the island.

Summary: My family and I spent almost a week at the Kapa’a Cottage. First, in terms of location, if you’re interested in activities or visiting sites on both the north and south ends of the island, the Cottage is centrally located. It is just off the main highway and roughly 45 minutes from Hanalei and an hour so from Waimea. It is also convenient to several grocery stores, restaurants, outfitters, etc. Most everything one could need is found close by. Second, in terms of livability, the Cottage is very cozy. It was a mini home away from home for us. It was nice to have a fully functional kitchen and a warm shower (after camping beforehand). The kids enjoyed the use of the boogie boards and snorkel equipment that is there to borrow as well. Thanks to the lush vegetation that surrounds the Cottage, the home feels very secluded, private and more remote than it is (most mornings we awoke to the wind in the trees, the sound of the surf a couple of blocks away and clucking Kaua’i chickens…just hilarious). Third, and finally, regarding checking in and checking out, everything was straight-forward and simple. We’ll definitely look into staying here again in the future.

Summary: Very outdated. Not comfortable. Dark. Light bulbs burned out and some outlets not working properly. Uncomfortable furniture. Kitchen and bathroom really need to be remodeled. Very different from the way it is pictured online.

Summary: Very clean and cute place near the beach for a great price. I've stayed in quite a number of places in Kauai and often run into mold issues and this place was totally mildew free. Really nicely decorated and equipped with everything we needed. We loved our stay!

Summary: The location is fabulous! The cottage is adorable. Something worth knowing is that the doors all have open slats in them so sound really carries from room to room (including the bathroom).
