Positive: Location. Right across from Kauai Shopping Village that has Safeway, Ross, Hawaii Pacific Health, Wailua Shave Ice Shop, and many more jobs! Very spacious unit with 3 toilets! Ample size kitchen equipped with variety of cooking utensils. Large soaking tub in the second bedroom served as a kiddie pool!
Negative: As a Hawaii resident, it was disturbing to watch several groups of guests disregard signs to respect and not enter the Hawaiian cultural preserve area in front of the Waipouli Resort beachfront units. They were playing lacrosse and frisbee on the nice grassy lawn of the preserve. Resort needs to designate this Hawaiian cultural preserve on their property map and educate their guests to respect this area by not entering or playing within this preserve.
Summary: Comfortable home away from home when visiting family on Kauai.
