Positive: Cottage had lots of character and the lounge was bigger and comfier than expected. Good facilities and kitchen was quite well equipped. Well located with convenience store just a few meters away.

Negative: Although we were sent all of the check in information prior to arrival, there was no further communication, including after our stay when I messaged about a forgotten item. Consequently, the stay felt quite impersonal.

Positive: The cottage was so cosy and equipped with everything needed. It was in the perfect location, close to lots of amenities and sight seeing. A couple of pubs serving great food within walking distance. Although the property is on a main road, the bedrooms are double glazed so you don't hear it at all. Great log burner and super quiet washing machine (we got a bit dirty on a walk!) We would love to come back in the summer when the weather is a bit better. The cottage is perfect.

Negative: Maybe a mirror in the main bedroom and a couple of small bins. However, this is being particularly picky! The dining area is cosy but that's the nature of the cottage.

Positive: Excellent location. As per photographs. A basket with wine, cake, tea and coffee was a really nice touch on arrival. Good amenities. Good communications in general.

Negative: Several bulbs in property not working in rooms and would have been better if they had as there were children in the party. Hairdryer kept cutting out. Main areas kitchen, bathroom bedding very clean but a lot of dust in other areas especially the dressing table in double room and pictures etc. Front door very drafty if there was a curtain in front of it, it could cut this and outside noise out. Wall in double room was very hot in double room which made the room uncomfortable. I understand in older properties it is hard with original features to please everyone. These few things let the property down with the amount of money charged, I would expect these small details could make an overall difference.

Summary: Very nice poperty. Had a lovely time and a great base for exploring this area. Would recommend.

Positive: It was lovely and clean. Had absolutely everything you needed for 1 night or 1 week! It’s lovely and spacious, beds super super Comfy! Everything you need is right on the door steps. To explore places it was only a 30/40 min drive minimum to where you wanted to be.

Negative: Parking isn’t the easiest, you’re very lucky to get parked outside.

Positive: Stunning location and really nicely furnished. Exceptionally clean. Owner was really friendly and easy to communicate with.

Negative: The property was lovely overall. Just a couple of extra details needed such as fans in the upstairs rooms as it was very hot when we visited and we would have appreciated a drying rack but the owner has said she will get those.

Summary: Absolutely lovely place to get away from it all.
