Positive: I am extremely happy with my stay at Minakamisansou. I loved every minute I spend there, and I regret booking only one night. The place was very relaxing, and the private bath inside the room was all I needed! The window of the bath opens, so you can see the nature and enjoy fresh air while soaking in the hot water. I booked a Japanese-style room, as I wanted to have a more traditional stay. It did not disappoint, and we were able to enjoy the tatami floors, the kotatsu and the futon. The amenities included were all you would need! Both dinner and breakfast are full courses with small plates. Some were too experimental for us, but overall we enjoyed most of it. The service was outstanding despite the language barrier, and they were absolutely trying (either google, or repeating the information and gesturing). Thank you!

Summary: Amazing ryokan stay! I regret booking only one night!

Positive: Everything comes together to make a beautiful and peaceful experience. The staff was very friendly and nice, like all of Japan, along with the attention to detail. The view follows very well the saying that life imitates art.

Positive: It must be made known to everyone who sees this comment that this hotel is the filming location for Episode 5 of the classic 1990s Japanese drama "Tokyo Love Story." The room where the male and female leads stayed has been nearly 100% preserved to retain its original appearance. The hotel provides a shuttle service to the station, and the staff are warm and hospitable, sharing many details related to the drama (such as which specific room was used). The view outside the room's window remains exactly the same as it was back then. Due to time constraints, I only stayed for one night, but if I have the opportunity in the future, I will definitely choose to stay here again for a longer period. By the way, the breakfast and dinner included with the stay are also classic and delicious!

Positive: The private onsen in the room is magical and quite big! It was perfect and enabled us to experience Japanese onsens as a family. The views from the room were amazing. The ryokan welcomes children and our son even got his own yokatta

Negative: Some of the food can be a little strange for our foreign taste but the overall experience was great! Even our 3.5 years old had the time of his life.

Positive: Utterly beautiful stay!!! The view when we walked in took our breath away! The staff were so brilliant nas personal and the room very spacious and comfy. The food. THE FOOD - I CANT EXPRESS HOW GREAT THE FOOD IS. Totally exceeded our expectations. We can't wait to return one day!
