Positive: Wow! What an amazing place. The house is a lovingly renovated shepherd's hut and you can immediately see the care that has gone into creating it. The space is small but with every facility you could want including comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen, great shower, washing machine and thoughtful touches like local cakes, juice, wine and water. The setting is incredible in a huge private gated field with a large shady terrace front and back and uninterrupted views to the sea, mountains, sunrise and sunset. It's private and secluded and feels a million miles from crowds. It's an easy 15 minute walk to the centre of Moutsouna with a few tavernas and easy walking also to several quiet beaches. Ioannis the owner made us feel extremely welcome with his personalised service. I can't recommend this place enough!

Positive: We had an absolutely perfect stay at the mitato. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and kindness. Ioannis and his father are truly wonderful hosts : attentive, generous, and always making sure everything was just right for us. The place has everything you need for a comfortable stay, without being overdone. It strikes the perfect balance between simplicity and coziness. The surroundings are peaceful, quiet, and incredibly rejuvenating, ideal for disconnecting from the hustle and reconnecting with nature. The outdoor spaces are spacious and lovely to relax in. Inside, everything is well thought out : a comfortable bed, a well-equipped kitchen, and a nicely arranged bathroom. In short, our stay exceeded all expectations. Weโ€™re deeply grateful to Ioannis and his family for sharing this hidden gem with us. Weโ€™ll cherish the memories of this little slice of paradise !

Positive: I've been accommodated in this new listing, and I am glad I did โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿฅฐ. This accommodation is a total experience, a "mitatos" (a Greek shepherd's hut/refuge) that has been renovated with care and love. It provides Internet (of which connection worked perfectly), TV, washing machine, shower, kitchenette... The mattress was very comfortable! I was greeted by Giannis and his father, and they were extra lovely with me. They explained everything the Mitato had to offer, and they also provided me with some fruits, juices, coffee, bottled water, and pastries! They really took care of me! This accommodation is for those who are seeking isolation in the less developed side of Naxos (the east coast). It is for those who don't need to have all the services at the door step, instead, it is for those who are in search of a rural experience in direct contact with nature. The Mitato is on a big plot of land facing the sea! This side of the island is full of little secluded beaches that have been almost untouched. You can also spot the occasional griffon vulture flying over the area! The road that leads to the accommodation is an absolute experience! It crosses the mountain chain of Naxos, from Apiranthos to Moutsouna. The views are amazing, plenty of rock formations, peaks, cliffs, juniper and oak forest, loads of turns! If you like driving these kinds of roads, you will find it awesome, and it will amount to the whole experience of being isolated in a special place. I highly recommend this accommodation (which indeed is more of an experience!), and I really wish Giannis and his father well with the future lettings of this lovely and very complete little house. I won't hesitate to book it again next time I'm in the area wanting to discover the true side of Naxos.
