4 Bedroom Villa in Begur

Villa Begur is our home but since we are expats we can't always enjoy it, so we offer it for short-term holiday rental for the periods we are not there.
It is a spacious and modern vacation house five minutes walk from the central plaza of the medieval village of Begur. It enjoys stunning views of the village and of the mediterranean. It was built to a high standard in 2005 with everything you would expect from a luxury modern holiday home. Having walking access to the town completely changes how you enjoy Begur. You can walk to Begur's central plaza as well as its restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. Your car is only necessary for trips to the surrounding areas, including of course the Costa Brava beaches. You can also go walking or bicycling along the beautiful inland paths as well as the coastal track ("Cami de Ronda"), all of which are signposted and well maintained.
The house is spacious and intelligently designed.
The entry level upstairs contains the built-in garage, the kitchen, dining area, salon and two outdoor dining areas (one being the outdoor terrace facing town and the sea and the other being located in its own private garden). Both outdoor dining areas are equipped with a table and chairs for six persons. The whole of the upstairs living area plus the outdoor terrace benefit from the incredible views to the village and the sea. At night Begur and its medieval castle light up making a spectacular backdrop. The shared garden and pool also benefit from the wonderful views.
The level below contains the four bedrooms, three bathrooms and the laundry (with washing machine, dryer & ironing table). Three bedrooms have their own direct access to the private garden which leads to the pool (shared with three other houses).
There is air conditioning and central heating throughout the home plus a large television, internet access, wifi and an Apple TV allowing you to access music and movies via your Apple account.
A barbecue is included.
Please note that on arrival, we need to collect the tourism tax, based on Catalan law. It is 1 EUR per person per day (children aged 16 years or less exempted), capped at a maximum of 7 days. We need to collect a copy of each guest's passport main page as well, to register all guests with the local police.

Summary: House was fantastic. Worked really well for four adults. Owner was extremely responsive and helpful. Fabulous views and we loved that the house was walking distance to downtown.

Summary: We were a group of 6 friends who hiked, played scrabble, did some sight-seeing, and enjoyed some good food and wine, all while looking out over the town of Begur and the sea. The view is fantastic! We took the same photo over and over, at sunrise, sunset etc. The villa is very well equipped. We found everything we needed in the spacious kitchen and it is just a short walk to a grocery store and numerous restaurants. The house accommodated the six of us quite well with some of us sharing a room. The drive in is a bit daunting the first time - quite a narrow street with a surprising small hill - but over time we got quite used to it. It is easy to walk for groceries and shopping but a car was nice to have a vehicle to get to the start of some hikes or to visit the neighbouring villages and towns which are all beautiful. Overall we enjoyed our stay there very much and would recommend it to anyone.

Summary: This beautiful villa was the perfect location for a relaxing holiday. Superbly comfortable, it was decorated and maintained to a very high standard. It had everything we needed and more, state of the art fitted kitchen, comfortable furniture, fantastic terrace from which it was hard to tear yourself away, the views of the med and the village are amazing. We loved Begur town which was a short walk away. We ate in lots of different restaurants and found the Spanish people friendly and helpful. Loret de Mar this is not. Our favourite restaurant was Sa Rascassa in Aiguafreda. Richard and Ana were excellent hosts and we cannot wait to return.
