A quiet retreat on 5 acres, our house is the perfect setting to relax and enjoy the Islands. Stroll among the stately Garry Oaks and old-growth Douglas Firs while admiring views of Mt. Constitution and Mt. Baker. Enjoy meadow wildflowers in the Spring, turning leaves in the Fall, or bask on the deck in the warm Summer climate of the San Juans. Whale-watching by Lime Kiln Lighthouse or long walks on South Beach are minutes away by car. We hope you fall in love with the Island just as we have. Two bedrooms and a twin daybed make this the perfect rental for a small family getaway. Our house has two bathrooms: one with a claw foot tub and one with a shower. Also equipped with a dishwasher and wood stove. Hot tub available for use out in the meadow.

Summary: This was such a peaceful house to stay at and the grounds were beautiful. We really enjoyed all of the nooks and the hot tub was perfect. The only thing I would change is the laundry detergent and hand soap. The dark blue towels and the downstairs bedding were very fragrant and as a fragrance-free person, I was not able to use those. We found less scented towels and bedding upstairs. Luckily I brought my own hand soap. I would highly suggest switching over to all unscented products.

Summary: This is a beautiful property - very peaceful and relaxing. The house is the most unique we have ever stayed at. It was filled with all kinds of nooks and crannies. All of it was most tastefully decorated. It was really fun to explore. While the rest of the country was suffering in record breaking heat and humidity, we woke up to clear blue skies with the temperatures staying in the seventies. And oh the wonderful air--no humidity.

Summary: The property is even better than it appears in the listing. The house was uniquely designed and built by craftsman. It is filled with art and books and is very well-equipped. The outside is just as special, with extensive views of the surrounding countryside and beautiful plantings. It is about a 10-15 minute drive to Friday Harbor, so it was very easy to stock up on groceries or go into town for a meal. I would love to go back!

Summary: Overall it was cozy just like the pictures with a beautiful sceanary. We did find a pill on the floor where my 1 year old son was kneeling in front of the coffee table watching tv. So you might want to ensure that the property management is running the vacuum. There's also no blinds in the master upstairs so my baby was up with the sunrise and hard to put down due to the lighting.

Summary: Family in town from Pittsburgh and wanted us all to see a new part of my home in the Northwest so a San Juan Island experience was in order! A great property and space that is about 10 minutes from Friday Harbor, secluded, quiet and tranquil. Easy access and the photos of the inside don't do it justice, this place has a nice, full kitchen and common space with excellent decks. Blythe the manager is very responsive and kind...even though the front door locks are a challenge! Highly recommended overall and will likely return on next visit to the area!
