Experience the Pacific Northwest - Island Style while staying in our lovely vacation home overlooking the Ocean to Vancouver Island B.C. Located on the west side of San Juan Island, this beautiful, privately located, romantic ocean view home was custom built with attention to the creative details. Relax every evening in your hot tub enjoying world class sunsets.
1,200 sf custom designed cedar sided cozy bungalow with a very efficient wood stove to enjoy when ambiance and warmth are the inspiration. Propane forced-air heat provided throughout home. Relax in our toasty outdoor hot tub and enjoy world famous sunsets on the Westside of San Juan Island.
Our Home includes 1 Master Bedroom with King bed, 1 Master Bath, Gourmet Kitchen, Dining, Lovely Living Room with memory mattress trundle bed that can be 2 twins. Separate alcove with twin cot. Wood stove heats the whole house or furnace heating. Separate laundry room.
The Master Bedroom is located on the second floor and includes a King size bed built on a pedestal to provide an ocean view. You can stargaze through your above bed skylight. The Bath includes a large walk-in tiled shower.
The Home has wireless internet access and DISH satellite TV service & DVD Player and stereo player. 56' HD tv in living room.
Best of all is whale watching as this stretch of shoreline has been identified by a whale museum biologist as a feeding area for Orcas. Watch whales pass by from the deck as their PODS come within a few yards of shore, hunting salmon. Use the provided binoculars to see every detail.
There is plenty to do in the neighborhood with beach access at Snug Harbor Resort. Bird watching is superb, with resident Harlequin ducks and a nearby active Bald eagle's nest. Watch fox, otter, and deer close by, or pack your favorite beverages, a great book, and a picnic basket, and relax at one of the many close County, State, National and Historic parks.

Summary: It is a lovely relaxing spot. Nice view and lots of bird feeders on the deck. I never knew how much I liked watching birds! Funny little guys. We had everything that we needed here.

Summary: This is our second stay at this lovely property. The house is wonderful — great views, very comfortable, spotlessly clean, very well equipped. I highly recommend this to anyone seeking a beautiful retreat.

Summary: We had a short but sweet trip to the island. This spot was such a treat! Its the perfect size for a couple but can certainly sleep more with a day bed in the lower living space! The deck wraps around the back to the side where there is a hot tub. Note there is a main house/neighboring home next door but they did a good job of keeping the area private with fencing. There is the perfect amount of trees to feel secluded but also enough space to see the water from the expansive windows. The space has everything you need: towels, toiletries, dishes, washer/dryer, bedding, space heaters, and even binoculars for whale watching! The driveway is wooded and there are a number of steps down to the house (just noting for any folks who may have accessibility concerns). Also the main bed is very tall so requires a step stool getting in and out.

Summary: Lovely views at this location, and very cozy spot. Would just give other folks a heads up that the location is not as private as we thought it'd be based on the photos on the listing, the house is very close to neighbors and owners. Additionally, cleaning fees were not included in the price and there was an expectation we clean everything after ourselves or be hit with additional fees. Also - the owner prefers a separate contract and Venmo request for a deposit, outside of VRBO that did confuse us a bit, but we went along with it anyway. Would prefer to keep everything in one place, personally.

Summary: We love San Juan Island. This was our 5th year going there for Thanksgiving. First time staying here. We loved it. Great house, great host. Amazing view. One thing to know that you can’t tell from the pictures—there’s a closet behind the king size bed and it creates a circle, meaning that you can get to the one side of the bed by going around the back of the bed (thru the closet that’s kind of like a walkway). Also, in case it’s not clear from the photos, the bathroom is on the main floor.

Summary: My family and I so enjoyed our stay here that we spent all three days of our vacation playing games, doing puzzles, talking, cooking and watching the ships go by. We didn't go anywhere else, except a short shopping trip to Friday Harbor and a trip to St. Francis Catholic church for Mass on Sunday. There is a lot to do on San Juan Island, but staying in and enjoying this lovely home was hard to beat

Summary: We had a great time staying at this property with our two dogs! The view was beautiful and it was a very serene location. The property manager was very responsive and quick to assist with fixing problem with water heater. Would stay here again!
