4 Bedroom Ski Chalet in Jim Thorpe

PRICING AND ACCOMODATIONS Upper level: Master bedroom with full bath and queen bed on first floor w/washer/dryer. Second floor has 2 Bedrooms , both with queen beds and also a loft with two single beds, (trundle). There is a full bath on second floor. There are large cathedral windows facing the pond. THIS ARRANGEMENT SLEEPS 8.
AT ADDED COST the lower level is also opened with a master bedroom with queen bed with full bath, plus a queen sleeper couch in living area and 1/2 bath and a washer/dryer THIS ARRANGEMENT SLEEPS 12. The lower area is only opened with the upper area. There are never two different renters in the house at the same time.
The upper level ( SLEEPS 8) is $300 per night Mon -Thurs. and $400.00 per night Fri-Sat-Sun. With both levels open (SLEEPS 12) there is an extra charge of $50/night for each person above 8. It would be $100/night extra for 10 people.
UPPER AREA has living room with 55" TV flat screen above a gas fireplace. There is high speed Wi/Fi internet. Full kitchen and dining area plus 1/2 bath. There is a washer/dryer. There is also a large, 12' x 40' deck, with table and chairs overlooking pond and picnic area.
LOWER AREA has living area with 46" TV above gas fireplace. A kitchen and dining area plus 1/2 bath and a washer/dryer. Also has covered deck, 10' x 40' overlooking pond and picnic area.
Linens, towels and paper products are supplied. There is a washer/dryer on both levels.
Pots, pans and dishes are provided. There is a dish washer on both levels.
There is a large fire pit, with modest amount of wood supplied near the pond. There is also a charcoal grille and gas grille by the pond and 2 picnic tables and benches. The pond is stocked with rainbow trout (catch and release) There is a dock in the pond with table and chairs. Pond has waterfall and small rowboat. There are hiking trails in both directions along the trout stream.
The pond is very cold and has a soft bottom and swimming is not allowed.
There is parking for 6 to 8 cars. We take the trash to the dump, there are barrels in the mud room for recycle items and trash.

Summary: Overall, we were very satisfied. The setting was very pretty, the house was very clean, convenient to all activities. The small town of Jim Thorpe was a big surprise to see how small and quaint and to how many people were there. All four of us were over 80 and were most surprised to see the steepness of the slope from the house to the pond, and when it was time to leave that area, the climb back up that slope was more than challenging.. along with the absence of trout in the pond or stream. Again, it was a great place to see friends whom we haven't seen in a long time.

Summary: We love this property it has everything you need to feel away from it all right there yet close enough to stores etc - we have definitely found our Pocono get away

Summary: Could not ask for a better place to stay, nor for better hosts. Just a hop, skip, and a jump from Jim Thorpe. This is a beautiful home that is well maintained. Ann & Ralph are very responsive, and have done their best to provide everything you could need. They even left out a ring of wood to use for bonfires. Plenty of parking for 3 cars, and the house is completely true to the advertisement. We were secluded just enough not to worry about all the loud laughter from our game night, but not completely rural, either. Easy visits to Jim Thorpe, the Martin Guitar Factory, and Coca Cola Stadium to see the Iron Pigs win. Definitely recommend this rental -10/10 would rent again. Thanks to the Clark family for a wonderful stay.

Summary: We had a little family get together at the pond house. It was so perfect did a little catch and release on the fish. Everyone was happy and we were there for four nights. It was a great getaway and some good family time together. It was also our third time there, so maybe that says something also

Summary: This house is great! We loved the deck with a beautiful view of the pond. Plenty of space for our family. We loved the pond with fire pit and picnic tables. Ralph was easy to get a hold of by phone. We definitely recommend this house for a great vacation. Thank you for letting us stay at your home.

Summary: This is a lovely, spacious chalet with a great deck, trout pond, and woods to hike through. Close to Jim Thorpe, Hickory Run Park, Pocono Speedway, white water rafting, and plenty of other sights and fun activities. Ralph, Kathy, and Joe could not have been nicer or more helpful. Five stars all around.

Summary: We rented this property for an annual get together - old friends all in our mid-50's now. The location, property and house are beautiful - better than I'd hoped for when reading the listing. Communication with the owner was great and he was very responsive. I wouldn't hesitate to rent this property again when traveling back to the area, and have no trouble recommending it to others.
