And, the nearby towns of Littleton and Lancaster provide all the amenities of modern life, along with high-end restaurants, cafes, and nightlife. Other attractions include Forest Lake State Park and the town of Whitefield, both within a three-mile radius, and Bretton Woods is only 17 miles away where you can enjoy your choice of downhill or Nordic skiing in the winter. Tee it up on the Mount Washington Resort Golf Course in the summer.
The cottage features a furnished front deck complete with a gas grill for summertime cookouts. The living area, with a gas fireplace, offers cozy home comfort when you're ready to relax inside. Summary: The house is cute. If I were the owner I'd fix things before renting again. The grass wasn't cut, the floors were dirty, house smelled musty, and there are extension cords all around the house. It's almost a fire hazard. It does have awesome possibilities.

Summary: I can only comment on this listing as it relates to summer. While air conditioning is noted on the listing, these are actually 2 portable air conditioners. When we arrived they measured the rental at 91 degrees. After running for 4 hours we were able to lower the temperature to manageable before bed. The lower level desperately needs a dehumidifier or two as its smell permeates all levels and makes the lowest level completely uninhabitable. We had issues with the WiFi (and thus also tv) not working and while the management company tried to assist us multiple times it ended up being a bigger issue and it it prevented us from working through the day and we had to check out early. Surprisingly disappointed with this listing.

Summary: The house was nice enough -- great view, nice outdoor space, and the gas fire was a nice, cozy touch. Easy access to lots of things. More or less as advertised, and check in/out was smooth! (We appreciated that there was NOT a long list of cleaning items we were supposed to do before check out!). Two things I'll flag that weren't clear to us from the posting: first, the place is on a main road and the traffic was surprisingly noisy. I was expecting something a little more secluded from the pictures. It was not that big a deal for us, but if you are looking for a very quiet place, this is not it! Second, there is a steep set of stairs to get to the main living space (kitchen, bed, bath). (Based on pics we assumed, incorrectly, that we'd enter on the main level and could go up or down stairs as needed.) Not at all an issue for able-bodied adults, but it did pose an unexpected challenge for one person in our party who has more limited mobility. (It's possible this was in the fine print somewhere and we missed it.)
