My house is steps from the Indian Rock Vineyards tasting room and a 1.5 mile pleasant walk/drive to Main Street in Murphys where you’ll find unpretentious wine tasting, great restaurants from thin crust pizza to California nouvelle cuisine, Gold Rush history come to life, outstanding shopping for all budgets and great antiquing opportunities. A little further afield you can enjoy caves, ziplining, walking tours, kayaking, skiing, snow shoeing as well as many hiking trails including Calaveras Big Trees State Park with its famous and stately Redwood trees or…
Stay in your robe and slippers and relax on the back deck with a peaceful view of the woods. Enjoy local bird life visiting the many feeders. Kick back with a glass of wine, a good book or gather everyone together to watch a movie in the cozy den.
My home is fully equipped with modern conveniences to ensure your comfort and enjoyment including a kitchen outfitted for cooking, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer, TV with cable and free WIFI.
The master bedroom looks out on the beautiful deck and includes a king size bed and full private bath. The second bedroom also has a king size bed and desk for working remotely and is adjacent to a full hallway bathroom.
The kitchen, dining room and entertainment room are connected which makes for a great opportunity to visit over meals, have a movie night or enjoy board games.
To ensure you get settled in and have a great start to your stay with us, we will provide an initial supply of toilet paper, facial tissue, and paper towels, but these may not be enough for your entire stay and you may need to purchase additional supplies.
For security purposes, on August 1, 2022 we are installing a Ring doorbell at the front door and cameras above the garage doors that records those entering the home. There are no devices inside of the home.

Summary: We knew the location was perfect as we stayed nearby previously. The entry system is great and the home was very clean and tidy inside. Plenty of room for four adults and separate baths is a plus. Beds comfortable, appliances in good working order, sufficient supply of cookware and other basics. For the home interior, other than some outdated and below par furnishings the only negative we offer is the poor taste of decor in the secondary bathroom with skulls everywhere you look. The backyard deck is spacious and serene and great for gathering and relaxing under the trees. However, some attention should be given to properly preparing this area for guests. Very dirty and unwelcoming. A little TLC and simple upgrades would make this area fantastic. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay, would visit again and recommend it to others.

Summary: We had such a great time here! The location tends to be below the snow line, but getting to snow is a quick drive away. This location is surrounded by wineries and nature, and is very close to downtown Murphys with its cute shops. We loved the house itself too. Very spacious for three people with comfortable beds and a cozy fireplace. Staying here was such a great experience!

Summary: My husband, daughter, father and I enjoy taking trips together. This was our second time in the Murphys area and the home was so cozy, clean and comfortable. Jennifer was a welcoming host and quick to communicate. It was close to downtown Murphys, a grocery store, and less than an hour from snow play areas. We would definitely return!
